MP5 for the noobs?
« on: February 07, 2008, 05:11:58 pm »
I was using the MP5 on the Graveyard INF (I always do when I'm having a bad day with the ruger) and a particular member of whom I won't name names began calling me a "Spraying Noob" for using a weapon that is restricted for "Noob Spraying Only". He then went on to bitch and bemoan about how it kills too easily within 40m and asked me to spray more. So, me, being the kind person I am, obliged. I just wanted your opinions on the MP5. Is it as nooby as (I shall name him Boohoo) Boohoo claimed, or is it a legitimate weapon that respectable players can use without fear of becoming the "Spraying Noob" that we all fear?

Nevermind fucks like that. It's impossible not to spray at least a little when using autos, especially one as fast as the mp5. People will rant about anything that kills them.

it's definitely not a noob' weapon.

The MP5 is the worst spraying gun. It scatters fast and it is short ranged compared to all the other autos. The weakest of them all IMO but It's still my fav gun.

OBEY!!!

It's great to use on snipers, since it binks them an insane amount, forcing them to switch to secondary, In which time I can reload and fill him up again. This guy who was moaning about it also started complaining about how it takes the MP5 a whole clip to kill someone. Not true. At close quarters I was able to annihilate 3 people on the same clip. It only takes more than a clip beyond m79 distance.

people who say that are complete noobs, ignore them and use the mp5 freely. and yes, you also need skill to use that also, it's quite a close range weapon, so you sometimes have to arch to kill enemies

technically, minimi could own mp5 in mostly any range.

Mp5 isn't like other autos; it's close-range. It's possible to 'spray' with it, but it deals very low dmg on long range.

You've never played a good minimier have you?
If you can judge where people are off screen then you can pound them with a minimi.

Judging from your sig I'll say it's a problem to you 'cause it has the clip capacity it does. Binking is far from the only thing it's good for, but that might be hard to realise when all you do is snipe. ...Or am I getting your style wrong?

mp5 is my favourite weapon, but seriously, you cant use it to compete with stuff like ak or steyr.

Youre too far behind with the range. Mid range?LOL MOAR LIEK, LONG RANGE JUST LIKE AK. By the time you get to any other auto youre faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar behind on damage.

I can kill akers no problem, its too slow of a shooter, you just have to know how to get that crazy mp5 spray to work for distance shots. It takes a reasonable amount of skill. As for the steyr, that think tends to be a little more complicated because if the firerate, but it can be done.

So... are you talking about a competitive scene, or publics where i always got 50 kills with like 20 deaths?.

MP5 Is NOT a noob weapon in my opinion.  Sure its only good for close range, small maps ect.  but personally, i can kill, pin down, and sometimes "own" with it at any given range.  however im realy not fond of using it on fast moving enemies.  it takes me a while to adjust to the arc.  also, any weapon excells in prone position. and yes that means mp5. mp5 is deadly.  in the right hands, its deadlier.  people who complain about ANY weapon are complete morons.
