Why is it that when you write a long ass post (like a soldat moment) you get logged out? This seriously needs to be fixed ASAP. Stop logging me out when I typed my ass off on a post! Grr.

How long are you writing for?  When you log in, do you tell it to keep you logged in for 60 (or some other value) minutes, or forever?

edit: looking at the logs, you're using IE.  stop using IE, I can almost promise you that is your problem.  IE does RIDICULOUSLY STUPID STUFF with expiring cookies and other content.  It completely ignores what it is supposed to do. http://getfirefox.com

I brought this up before... if you get firefox Vijcht found a plugin that will help save your text entered if you run into an error submitting it. It's in the forum news section just haven't cared to look for it...

Not only that, but errors like this just don't happen in Firefox.  The one he's talking about is specifically IE messing up the session and cookies

Well, ever since I moved to firefox I've had none of these problems. But out of old habit I'll still ctrl+a + ctrl+c everything as I write when doing a big post.

Yea... I use Firefox at home. But IE is intalled on the Public Library computers, and thats what I'm stuck with there. Where is this plugin found?

I think your problem is the "stay logged in for x minutes" not IE. Atleast I never experienced problems with IE on soldatforums.

Well I use Opera but I allways copy my text before submitting as you never know what might happen.
