Humanity is a failure.

We fail to keep our environment un-altered, whats the best thing that Humanity has done for nature? Absolutely nothing, oh sure, they know about global warming now, but what do you think caused global warming? What about wars? Humanity fails to even live along side its own kind, this place we live in, called Earth, is slowly dying and rotting away because of humanity. For once, look at yourself, look at what you're doing, what are you doing here? What is your purpose for being here?

There is no purpose for our existence.

Think of it like this, Earth itself is one large organic being. We are merely ticks and fleas, and parasites, thinking that we can travel to another planet after this one is wasted. Bull sh*t. Think about it, nature has never benefited from humanity, humanity ruined the balance of the ecosystem.

Humanity is a failure.

Now imagine it like this, why does humanity mourn the death of each person? OH NO! My son just died! That sucks for you lady, we just lost about zero point five hundred zero point 1 percent of our population? This world is illogical, our existence is pointless, nothing we have done is well, we are failures, nothing more than ticks and fleas.

This is my final entry, and I am left with one hope,
That one day, someone, Anyone, is around to witness this warning,
Know that a thousand other plans were tried and failed,
Know that as energetic and tenacious as life is,
It is the thing we must obliterate.

im moving out of my parents house tommarow and will live in a cave. i will declare my love to a female bear emerging from hibernation and work my way from there.

Yep that's right. Humanity is a failure. But lets look at one of the major reasons why:

Yeah, you guessed it.  ::) Religion.

1. Almost all religions 'teach' their followers that there is an afterlife, and so their followers take this life and this planet for granted because they are under the belief that there is an eternal paradise waiting for them.

2. Some religions (namely Christianity and Islam) teach their followers that "everything is Gods will" and so people feel that what is happening to the world is supposed to happen or that they have no choice in what will happen.

3. There are even some religious figures (particularly in American Christianity) who tell everybody that Global Warming isn't real and that people shouldn't "inconvenience" themselves with trying to preserve the planet when it's all ready being preserved by God.

4. There are prominent Doomsday cults all over the world who believe that they are supposed to enforce an apocalyptic prophecy and are preparing, as you read this, to try and end the world because they believe that is their purpose. Needless to say that on Dec 21 2012 you are going to want to stay as far away from these people as possible. Imagine if they had access to nuclear weaponry.

So yeah... If you want to blame anything other than selfish industry or selfish governments... blame religions and selfish religious people.

Damn it Mangled, do you have to display your blatant hatred of religion everywhere? It's usually completely off-topic and very unnecessary. You might have a valid reasoning for bringing it up in this topic, but I don't see any of the other atheists in this thread babbling on about how religious people are retards. Go start a thread about why religion is apparently the worst evil in mankind's existence rather than bringing it to virtually almost every single place where it seems to be related, and randomly at that.
