Woo... wasn't this about R/S originally?
Whatever.

Deagles are actually quite powerful and good in both gamemodes. While I have always been more of a spas-type-person, if the map is large and open (inf_bunker) I reach for deagles before ruger because of the much faster fire rate and comparable power.

Every weapon has (primary weapon) longer range than m79...
I've said about ctf because it's most played gamemode.
I never said you didn't have to move forward, i just said you had to keep out of range of an m79.

Yup. R/S is very different than R.

You will have a hard time against barret or ruger because their bullets are faster and hit harder - they decide if you win or lose.
I've been killed countless times with barret 1 split second before my bullet hits and binks them.
You will also have a hard time against most autos because most battles on r/s are mid-long range even if you try to avoid it.

But i 'survived' through 1.3.1 where only half of the shots actually counted so i shall not my faith be shaken by thee...or something like that.

And there's always room for improvement so...

As long as they keep coming for more
Fear not, and look high
Desert Eagles shall dive from the sky
Until my hands are sore

Realifeckic is NOT Soldat. And post ideas related to that in the "Realistic Feedback something" thread for the next R/S weapon modder to check.

YOU are not Soldat. So go flame somewhere else. For a large number of players realistic mode is a pivotal element of this game.

And on topic: DE are hard. Perhaps I've nerfed them just a bit too much and Madchal didn't fix that after I left.

I buffed the power a little soon after you left. They should be able to kill at minimum 1 shot and maximum 3 shots.

The difference in how R and R/S works is too big. The only good way to fix this is to implement a separate WM.ini for R/S as well.

yes! i think i finally got used to using deagles! and yeah, DEagles do require more skills than rugger, rugger is mid/long ranged, and DEagles are short/mid ranged.

Is it just me or does Darnangel seem to contradict every single fact of Soldat?

/ontopic

IMO, deagles need more practise than ruger because of the ARCH it makes, whereas ruger is just a straight line. With ruger, you can take out an enemy on the other side of the screen but with the deagles you wait until they get closer which is dangerous.
