No chat programs are opening...HELP!

Hey;
My computer seems to not want to open ANY chat programs at all, MSN...Xfire...Yahoo Messenger... all not opening. Whats going on?
I've virus scanned, restarted the computer, checked the registry for problems... Nothing!
Can someone tell me what the hells going on?

No new security programs, no re-installs. The program loads, and shows on the task bar, but won't maximize... Kinda like being minimized on the task bar but never viewable.... What the hell is going on here?

Yes! This client runs in your browser (I mean its an AJAX page, not something along the lines of a firefox extension) and supports almost all current chat protocols except for IRC.

The only time I've seen something like this happen was when I had my second monitor enabled even though it wasn't plugged in, when I had it plugged in I had moved programs to that side of the screen so when I started them again they went over there.

Try to right click on the taskbar icon, click move, then hit an arrow key then move your mouse; pressing an arrow key moves the window 1 pixel (wherever it is) and attaches the mouse to it.

The only program I know of that this doesn't work with is Winamp if you use a modern skin.

Check your task manager and see what is happening when you open them. Do the programs appear in the processes list and then terminate? Or are they already there?

Try ending them and opening them again... or there may be another process which is preventing them from working... try terminating processes which you don't recognise.

Hehe, Chris... I just made myself out to be an idiot. Turns out, I turned on my T.V (which is humbly connected to the PC for video editing purposes) and theres MSN, Yahoo, and Xfire... all waving at me! Phew... I thought I got a virus or something.
