ctf_Vr_Vertical

This is the first map of the new gamemod: Vertical. It consist in a ctf where the flags are vertically disposed on the map, and the gameplay flow is mainly vertical. Don't need too much jets, polyjumps are there to help in the balance. We tested it with 2-6 people, and 4 is the best. The ctf_Vr_  is the beginning of a vertical map.

We putted some colors in the map, because only yellow is boring. Hope you have fun!

This map is complete, and it should be putted in ctf maps or in "others"?

The map doesn't seem too balanced gameplay wise as bravo can just nade spam and spray sex (<<that's chakra's new word censor) machine alpha because of the height advantage.

Visuals aren't too bad but the shading looks kinda funky.

What I'm saying is that bravo has height advantage over alpha because they can send whatever down to alpha's base and, because of this, it will be quite hard for alpha to dodge bravo's falling crap to get to their flag and cap without dying. As for bravo, they can just let gravity let them down to alpha's flag then m79 blast themselves back to their flag and cap with ease.

the jumps make the way up very fast (better then rocket jump)... and the bravo flag can be easily thrown down too.

I find this gamemode to be rather interesting. Every once in a while, someone makes an attempt at a new gamemode or way of play, and I find this one to be somewhat different and a little more innovative with the certain places poly jumps. I see this as a good possibility.

No. I think it would be impossible to make a good waypointing on this. The jumps have a much better effectiveness if you backflip.

I've always thought about making a vertical map but never could figure out a decent layout, that would be balanced or semi-balanced at least.

Your map looks very mystical, i like how it looks, though, i hate games without grenades and no server hosts this map and its not waypointed so i cant really test the map, but i would really like too.

I was wondering, how do you make poly jumps, i find them tons of fun and probably will make a map with some just for funsies.
