If some other 2D Multiplayer Shooter is made and people thought it was better, I think that soldat will die... D:

I'm not that sure that many 2D shooting games will be much better than soldat... just because I am in an aussie forum for LieroX  and that I have been playing it for more than 6 months doesn't mean I like it more than soldat xD

cause right now, I really like it and there will always be new people like me to continue if the old veterans pass away... xP

Chakra: You've been around for yonks, old chap. What keeps you around? Will you eventually move on to better things... or continue to keep these forums interesting, and contributing to the development of Soldat?

Move on to better things? ...like what... sex? hahahahahahaha.... probably not.

Also last I checked, I don't think i've ever contributed to the development of Soldat. Ain't even bothered to register. I just like to read and play Soldat now and then.
MM; seriously Chakra, stop the fisting

we already beated Gunster Raining Bullet, which is piece of cake, so there won't be much trouble i would see.
unless there are other 2D shotting games.

You contribute by posting useless but funny posts on this forum, and I'm pretty sure I read that you had a hand in the making of Soldat Sandbox...
Thanks to EnEsCe an Chakra for answering :)

EnEsCe: A Fellow Aussie. You've been with the development team for ages, no matter what people have said about you, and accused you of. Will you eventually move on, or are you sticking around forever?
Ill be around till the day Soldat dies. Or goes open source. Or I die.

Same.  I love hosting everything for Soldat and I've learned a great deal from it.  I look forward to staying involved in Soldat and all of MM's projects, for better or for worse.

That said, I think Soldat will be around for a very long time.  I think the best of Soldat is yet to come with some features being gradually added over the next couple versions.

The current Soldat Veterans from the old days[/b]: What keeps you here? Why not move on to bigger fish, or move on to life (not saying that your all drooling nerds who don't get out)?

Soldat is burning candle of excellence in a dark abyss of rubbish freeware games. It's simple, fun, very very fast paced, has a good community with lots of modders, is still being updated despite its author moving on to new projects.

I can't go more than 2 days without playing Soldat. I need my fix. I've been playing for over 5 years almost exclusively non realistic CTF, and occasionally TTW or CS servers.

I enjoy playing it and I enjoy modding it.

Yes there will be a time when I have to move on reluctantly... But I'll delay that for as long as possible. :P

Also with the impending release of Soldat Enhanced 2 ... You can literally expect Soldats lifespan to double.

Only in realistic mode does soldat have any of those qualities.
