« on: February 26, 2008, 03:09:03 am »
My friend thinks you say linux like 'linn-ux', I on the other hand have always thought of it as 'line-ux' this is a bit stupid, but if you know *cough* FLAB *cough* *cough* how is it supposed to be said/how do you think it should be?

I'll carry on with Line-ucks because I don't think linux deserves me pronouncing it correctly.

If you don't have a server then you have no reason to use it other than to show off how nerdy you are. Even then Linux is ultimately a waste of time since you basically need emulation software to do almost anything other than file managing.

Wow, someone has never used Linux to see just what you can do with it as a client. It can do everything Windows can; the only reason for emulation is to run Windows programs because people aren't used the the free/open equivilants under Linux, or because company X releases a proprietory product on Windows only that someone finds desirable to use.

Or they are worse.

A lot of the programs are too unwieldy to use.
