Stop, Drop, & Roll
« on: February 28, 2008, 05:54:15 am »
Cut and dry...I believe that if you're on fire, you should be able to reduce damage by 'rolling' on the ground and putting the fire out that way.

It's annoying to just sit there and watch your Soldat burn to ashes when realistically speaking something can be done about it.

It shouldn't affect the Flame thrower that much because you can't roll in the air and isn't that where most on the combat actually take place anyways?

And even this counter can be countered by switching weapons or even continuing torching your opponents.

I just feel every bonus needs a downfall, and what more can you currently do with a Flame God besides staying out of range?

And with a counter added, I think the "God" time should be increased a bit just to balance things out a bit.

Just a small thought...

Wont work to well anyway...
if he is spamming you down with flames, and you take a roll on the ground, you will stop burning for like 0.1 secs..

apart from the fact that the flamer is crap anyway, Just keep moving and you don't take damage.
No matter how much you're flamed.
This isn't required, the flamer doesn't need to be any worse then it is.
Lol, internets.

To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

right after you get a flame god and the god mode disappears, just change to your ordinary gun, that's the best choice. and no if you're on fire, just prepare to get grilled

Exactly. Why nerf this "bonus" any further?

It's easy to keep away from bots, they have no movement skills, you can just run away then kill them when godmode runs out

stop drop and roll does not work when on fire by flamethrower, you are covered in a jelly of combustibles, so even if part of it is put out for a moment, it will reignite when you roll again.

Your realistic argument is flawed, and the flamethrower sucks balls anyway, so making it worse would be a bad idea.
