any song in your library.
I find this game to be better than Guitar Hero at least tenfold. The fact that any song in your library is quickly loaded and playable is reason enough to consider it better than Guitar Hero as far as I'm concerned.
but the gameplay is just as uninteresting.

Ya, thats the first thing that hit me. It not really a "win" game. But rather a, "I'm Bored" game. Its all about coordination, not wh*ring medkits.

Same; but still, audiosurf is awesome. Hey, for the people who have it, why not post your favorite songs?

I was thinking of making a topic for the very purpose.

I recommend playing the songs Stakeout and Chess King by Freezepop. Stakeout's pretty intense towards the end, and Chess King is uphill during the verses and downhill during the chorus. Bike Thief, also by Freezepop, works pretty well, though it's essentially uphill for the first half and downhill for the second half.

The first song I played was, I believe, DJ Do Me A Favor by Aphrodite & Beverly Knight. The tutorial worked well for it because the first 30 seconds or so were kinda percussion-less.

I actually haven't purchased it yet, but I played the beta. You should buy it because it's a lot of fun and not because money has anything to do with it.

That would just be a song topic really.... Audiosurf basically makes all songs fun...

Especially Layla.... in Ninja Mono... Wow... I get so pumped up playing that one.

Just type in your username where mine is.
Having gotten the game two days ago, I have something like 6 and a half hours in, bearing in mind that some of it was idle time as I had the game in the background while I was jabbering on MSN.

Favorite songs? Quite a few from my complete Guitar Hero 2 collection work pretty well, particularly Freya (The Sword), Less Talk More Rokk (Freezepop) and Jordan (Buckethead). For those familiar with Overclocked ReMix, Sonic 1: Cryptic Marble was pretty excellent. Also, there's a pretty good reason Dragonforce: Through the Fire and Flames is one of the very most popular. That was pretty crazy.

Edit: After warming up to the game a bit, I did Freya in Ninja Mono and kept up with it pretty well, but I think I'll stick with Mono Pro for its handy-dandy jump.

The thing I've discovered about Audiosurf is that it really makes you enjoy music you never thought you'd like or possibly hated previously.  I'm by no means a Slipknot fan, I think that their little "maggot" fanboys that wear ridiculously baggy pants with chains and claim to be "goth" are complete scum, but they have one song that audiosurf has made me enjoy playing; The Blister Exists (recommended by my oh so charming cousin).  That song has a drum solo that fits perfectly with Audiosurf and I'd actually recommend you try it, it's surprisingly fun.

Trust me, I really, REALLY, don't like Slipknot, it's just that I enjoy playing that song specifically for the drum solo.  Slipknot is shithouse, I agree.

I'd recommend you try "Your Gaulish War" by Eluveitie.

I currently hold the top score on all difficulties (Iron Mode), and I need some competition as the nearest scores to me are currently far lower. Elite difficulty I know my score is very much beatable, max score for Ninja Mono i estimate at 300K-350K for that song and I only have 147K, but I'm trying to improve that.

I would if I could find it, which I can't via either torrent or p2p. Perhaps you could guide me to a location?

I saw it mentioned on the audiosurf forum, it has a traffic congestion of 494...

I just searched the forum, I can find several instances of it being mentioned, but I can't seem to find the download link anymore...

Some say they've stealthed that song. I call bullshit. It's damn right impossible.
