How to break a computer?
« on: March 04, 2008, 09:58:28 pm »
How the heck do I break my **** *ss computer? I don't mean like breaking the hardware but like how do I destroy its OS and everything else so it doesn't work anymore at all. Then after that my dad will let me throw it away then i'll kick the crap out of it. This is a serious question, i'm doing this cause i'm pissed at my comp but because I want it out.

Search for a virus that melts your hard drive completely.

Nuke the HD in the microwave, or run a magnet over it.

Pretend you were playing tag with it, throw it into a passing by truck, bury it in the pet sematary, don't tell anyone that it had been run over. In the end, you burn all your friends and family in the house with the computer. Take your most prized love, and bring her to the pet sematary, and let her be reborn.

*Just run a magnet over it, or put a soldering blade write up to the hard drive and watch it melt*

Guys... can you read? He said he doesn't want to destroy the hardware...

I actually know how you can pretty much destroy windows XP

Go into your C:\WINDOWS\System32\ folder and search for lsass.exe you won't be able to delete it, but if you go to properties and change the file extension to .zip

Then simply reboot... and your operating system should be totally fecked and it can't be fixed unless you reformat... you may be able to fix it with a windows boot disc... not sure about that.

Why do you want to do this though? Why do you want your OS to be destroyed?

I guess you want to make it look like your PC is totally ruined so your father buys a new PC and you can salvage the perfectly usable hardware from this one. Right?

THANK YOU SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS. And for you last question sort of yes and no. I know my dad will give me his which can acutally handle some good games. But the thing is it will take him forever to buy one and give me his. But one other reason is because i'm tired of seeing this piece of crap all the time in my room. ITS 9 years old. I rather have nothing than some piece of crap that makes every thing frustrating. But the problem is it has ubuntu as an os. Also after when it doesn't work at all i get to throw it away, so thats when I can pull out a bat and destroy it completely.

Yeah.

Delete just about anything under C:\Windows or C:\WINNT. Or start renaming files. Or, if you've a floppy drive and an old (windows me era) boot disk, take a hex editor and a copy of explorer.exe. Make random changes to it, then place it on the boot disk, boot it up and replace your original explorer with the new one. Reboot and see what the damage is.

I'd suggest something like deleting C:/Windows... if you can't delete it, try formatting it, and then rebooting half way through ;) Garunteed /windows failed error message there.

Good luck :)

he says he has ubuntu as an OS... not much microsoft involved there... so no windows folder. anyway... If you take a floppy-disk, and cover the inside in typp-ex, the laser that reads the thing will make the typp-ex hot enough to actually light your computer on fire. Not the best of ideas, but it'll die...

Open WINDOWS\System32, gather some friends, and play .dll Kerplunk! Everybody takes turns deleting a .dll file, and the last one to do it when the computer doesn't start is the loser!
