I know I screwed up my computer before yet I don't know how...

Err... mess around with the WINDOWS/system32 stuff. That's the best I can tell you.

What kind of hardware do you have?

Don't just trow it away. Seriosuy, I changed my Athlon64 X2 3600+ + GF7300 GT etc. for 333MHz Celeron + 512MB of RAM + linux. Boy, this machine is worse than mar77a has! ...and I am happy with this. ;)

There is NO game I can play. Except ADOM. No 3D games for me, no 2D games for me. Heck, even Teewars has some 0.2 FPS in the main meny when moving the mouse! Thank you ATI for not having proper legacy drivers for Linux!

But I don't complain, my decision and I am happy with this. ;) 10 years old hardware running year 2007 OS can't be bad! (Even though Windows XP IS faster than most KDE/GNOME based distros, not even XFCE can compete!
Fight! Win! Prevail!

I love Clawbug.

Yeah what hardware have you got? anything like hard drives, CD drives and RAM is totally reusable.... hell even a 3.5 floppy drive is still a little useful.

Sorry I don't know how to break Linux... if it has system processes then try changing them like I described how to change lsass.exe in XP

Copypaste a large file. While the copying is in process, pull out the power cable. Though this'll only corrupt the hdd.

Static electricity - Hold a finger in a USB port and with the other hand touch something like the TV screen, the bare metal cord for the speakers or whatever while the computer is running.

Hold a CD case or something infront of the CPU fan. If the computer does an emergency shutdown then turn that bastard on again. Repeat until results recieved.

One of my laptops is halfway there. The sound driver never initialized correctly, and on top of that, the host process that handles networking and some explorer.exe functions is screwy. In addition to the fact it gets hot enough to cook on it, I'll give it a life span of a few months.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Disable your anti-virus software and turn off the firewall.  Go to porn sites and get the worst malware/viruses as possible.  It'll corrupt and delete your system files for you.  While you get to watch hot women in porn sites, your system will be destroyed at the same time and all you have to do is watch and enjoy the show.

Make sure you delete or remove personal information.  Spyware and viruses can steal it.

Save this image as your desktop background and your OS should totally destroy itself.

For a Mac, just put up a portrait of Bill Gates.

Actually, if you just delete "SYSTEM32" from the WINDOWS folder, everything goes boom.

1.Try to infest your computer with malware.

2.Unistall all anti-virus programs

3.Download as much as possible.

Amazing how many of you don't pay attention to the fact that he has stated multiple times that he is running on Ubuntu and not any version of Windows.

I would imagine that running on a Linux distro makes it somewhat more difficult to screw it up. I suppose it would operate on the same principle though. Go find system critical files and start playing whack-a-mole on them.
