  Just out of curiosity,are you Euro or American (location wise). There is a European Gather though,and I think its pretty active. Those Europeans are savage.

i personally use and quite like the m79.
it takes skill and practise to use a weapon, so shut up to all those who call others noob because they cant get a kill themselves.

Yes, agreed.  I use M79 if I'm bored, though people call me noob for going close and blasting...
It's also really useful for b2b once you got the flag

1. Instant kill if direct
2. Boosts/slows if within explosion radius.
3. Self-damage
4. A 3 second (+ 6 ticks fire interval) reload
5. Nice trajectory ; its a grenade launcher after all!
6. It's a close-mid range weapon rather than a long range weapon
7. Needs pr0l4r aim, estimation and timing if used at mid or long range (not point blank or very close range).

SUPER slow-firing weapons like the M79 and Barret, if miss, is equals to easy target in most cases.

M79 isn't a newbish weapon, you can easily own some M79 guy with any other weapon, like Ruger. And I use all weapons except Minigun.. Or Ruger

Some guy whined about "AK-Noob" once on pubs, just brush off what they say to you.

I used to main the m79 and used it in pubs, and I got some abuse for using it although I would be able to make pretty well-aimed shots. If you get into clans and warring, the m79 isnt as much used and only for smaller and medium sized maps like Ash, Nuubia, Kampf etc...

I'm quite good with this weapon, and please, before you call somebody m79 noob, consider if he acted nooby. I got called after killing somebody with shot like that:

Well if you hit someone like that then: 1. the enemy is a noob and didn't move away OR 2. it was just luck and someone flew into your bullet.

M79 is not noobish though

m79 is only noob in the hands of noobs. just like a barret is only noob in the hands of noobs. The weapon isnt the noob. its the player. espcially those noobs who still havent changed their name. stupid majors

Actually not all Majors are the noob ones.

I asked a player long time ago (who changed his appearance, not the same as the default) whose name was Major. I said, "Why do you use Major? Why not change the name?" He said, "Oh, the name 'Major' sounds/looks cool."

I'd personally believe that these kind of Majors should add a little something to their name like "Major Freeze" though.

m79 is not noobish at all...especially when you are playing in Hexer server. If there's a level difference over 20, sorry, you MUST use m79 to kill your opponents (or got killed for not using it), and everytime I shoot, they called me noob, but they just can't kill me

I was refering to the fact that kamikazing is kill your self and the other person, now go back to what he said and read it.
