USSOCOM logged as Selfkill?
« on: March 11, 2008, 12:31:37 pm »
Is there a fix for USSOCOM being logged as selfkill?

Is it safe to presume that all selfkills actually are USSOCOM kills?

I have had instances of socom selfkills when holding the fire button [emptyhanded] and walking over [and thereby picking up] a socom and unfortunately dying because suddenly the gun fired up into my head.

If you're playing offline and you kill a bot with a grenade or kill yourself with a grenade whilst holding a socom, the kill logs it as a socom kill.

If I'm not mistaken, just do a check if Victim equals Killer and if the weapon is USSOCOM, then log it as a selfkill instead. Only downside to it is that proper USSOCOM selfkills won't be logged at all (not that I have ever seen that happen, but hey).

Yeah, thought of that too. That'll probably be how I'll solve it.

Thanks!
