Nice. I never noticed.

There are tons of reason why. We'll never know. I think yahoo got there first though.

And yahoo is doing better :)

And yet you post an image of the AOL homepage which has a Google search box in it. But I know what you mean.

Yahoo used to look almost identical to Google a few years ago. One of them has always copied the other... nobody knows who though.

Internet companies always copy each other.  In this case, AOL stated that they were intentionally pulling the best from all of their competitors to try to create the best homepage possible.

Reminds me of Hollywood.

Good job on a lame joke there Mangled. No one cares about indie people.

Honestly AOL needs all the help they can get. Same with Yahoo. I honestly don't know why they aren't gnawing at the bits to get in with google.

Of course you're on the inner loop when it comes to AOL and Yahoo aren't you. So if anybody was to know of any gnawing at the bits and getting in with Google it would be you.

Oh, they are.  "After a year of negotiations, Time Warner (TWX) and Google (GOOG) have finally gone public with a pact that gives Google a 5% stake in America Online in exchange for $1 billion"[similar article]. Yahoo isn't particularly interested (or capable) of pulling off the same feat and were considering merging with Microsoft's MSN for a while (I'm fairly certain the negotiations never got anywhere, though).

In all honesty, I've never known a single person who uses AOL.  As an ISP or email provider.  I honestly thought they'd have given up all together by now.

Apparently there's something that's kept them going al this time.  Excuse the fact that I'm oblivious to current internet related news.

I was wondering how they where still in business.
