But all my hair burned off in the plane crash, as there was no hair listed in the initial scenario.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

rub in your pubes.  Cause if that burned off, there's really no point surviving any more  :'(

if clothes survive, a lot of your hair will survive.

The fire spread to the inside of the plane due to a fuel leak caused by the crash.

You can make a compass out of the paper clip guys...

Sure? A piece of metal doesn't magically start being a compass, I'm pretty sure you'd need to magnetize it first and I don't see a magnet in the list.
I think there is an airplane near you... airplanes have tons of random electronics. I would look for some speakers first, they are probably the easiest to get too and the easiest to pull out.

Damn, and to think i used the laptop battery as a magnet >.<

ALSO: You can make a compass with a peice of metal, e.g. paperclip.  it just has to be dead straight, and needle-like.  You place it on a peice of paper, with roughly a cm of edge, with the needle in the middle.  You then magnetically charge it, and quickly place it in a very still body of water (like a cup) and it will point north.

And the as for the whole "What good would a compass be?" thing, If you know where MN is you can guess which way the closest town/city is and judge weather it would be worth sending someone to go and get help, also if a town is near by it increases the chance of being rescued. And i'm sure that some form of mapping device would of survived the crash even if it wasn't on your body, perhaps someone has one.

Lol, internets.
