Ok well i completed my downgrade back to Xp from Vista and now i have begun the long jouney of finding drivers. well to no luck the Creator of my motherboard (Abit) has all the drivers i needs llinks are broken...

I have a Abit AX8 V1.0 if anyone can find my drivers i would GREATLY appreciate it or give me a site that would have them. whenever i search for them they just give me BIOs update downloads and im not sure what that would do.

Drivers i need.

Ethernet Driver(main one if i get this i think i can get the rest automaticly)
Bunch of unknowns
Ati X800xlÂ GFX card driver
i think thats it

EDIT: Forgot to mention, i might have the driver i need just that whenever i try to install it it tells me that i need to run in Administrator account or whatever. BUT I AM! its really werid. if anyone knows what i am talking about and can fix plz tell.

You should be able to get the Ati drivers you need from their website.

Do you have more than one windows user account on your system?

I wouldn't worry about motherboard drivers, the important thing is that you get the right drivers for your peripherals.

Then you don't need to update.

The only important one is the graphics card.

The ati drives wouldn't be that much of a problem

as long it isn't an AGP card

Well explain to me why Ethernet adapter or whatever is in the Unknownd Drivers area... and that i cant connect to a network...

Search for your god damn ethernet card's driver, either online or in a pack of cds you SHOULD have. Search google for your problem with administrators rights. Just look for it.

No its part of the Motherboard....i dont have the disks cuz the guy i bought it from SAID he gave me the drivers on a disk. he gave me a disk but all there was was illigal software lik esome dvd rippers and stuff so i dont have that.

Windows Update should give the choice to download optional software/hardware updates. I reformatted a while back and I was missing drivers. Windows XP makes you download updates if needed, it installed the drivers for me.
