Rambo Bow vs Flamed Arrows

I did play some Rambo Matches some time ago, and I noticed that lots of people would use Flamed Arrows rather than the normal arrows.

When you are in a Rambo Match, which of the two modes of the Rambo Bow do you prefer?

For me, I'll go for the normal arrows.
1. Silent
2. The projectile is harder to see
3. Faster bullet speed
4. Faster firing rate
5. Nothing to give you away when you're hiding (except the rambo "badge" on your head)

However, I can understand why people choose the flamed arrows.
1. Definite kill if direct hit (normal arrow MAY NOT kill in one hit if the enemy is too far away)
2. Explosive (though explosive damage is very low)
3. No point hiding when you're Rambo and everyone's looking for you ; might as well go all out.

What is your choice?

I prefere normal arrows, because I use the bow more like an auto than any ruger/de/barret. The exception is when I spray (like with law), and then I use the flamed arrows. But I don't play much rambo anyways.

I'm going to point out that Rambo is a gamemode with unused potential.  If you play it with the right people, it can be the funnest gamemode.  Most people would just switch to the Barrett or M79 and totally ruin the gameplay.

For the thread, definitely Flamed Arrows.  Mainly because of the explosions.  It tends to be more useful and powerful in certain situations like if a group of players had attacked you all at once, one shot with flamed arrows can take them all out, if the balance isn't nerfed.  Last time I actually played Rambo was 1.2.1, so the settings might have changed.

Rambo Bow + Flamed Arrows has been the same in damage and firing rate.

Ya Rambo Bow can be fun, but I also agree that its because of Barret and M79 it ruins the fun.

Hmm more comments please? I picked the normal bows since I'm more of a stealth player and I prefer higher bullet speed.

I like normal bow - actually I use both.  They both kill in one hit if you run in, so I cycle between the two and keep firing while aiming at enemies.

But I like normal for the same reasons as STM1993

Well, I'd go with flamed arrows, it's hell lot of fun!

Definately, they normally attack at once, the explosion is great at blasting them away, so then you can pick them off individually or slowly splash damage them to death.

It's a hell of a lot better to use flamed arrows.
People don't like being blown to bullocks, and i love explosions, i also don't hide in rambo, it defeats the purpose.

I go for guns!! I hunt those bow wielding monkeys.. Nothing other than a near perfect aim can get you out of a sticky situation like that.

There is nothing like looking down a long wooden arrow with the tip drenched in flames, suddenly being aimed at an expecting yet dumbfounded enemy...

Depends on the situation. If there is a bunch of guys in a small area, I swap to the flames and watch them go splat, if there is a chance of me damaging myself with the flame arrows i use the normal ones or if there is a lot of enemies in an open area where flame arrows wont take them out quick enough.
