Basically ripped strait off of Counter-Strike: Source because people use cheatmods in that game all the time.

That's a bad idea =(
Why ? You would be able to disable this on your server if you want, so players can play on it with modded soldat.

What's the point of a very customisable game - the base of soldat - if you're gonna chuck it in the crapper?

There is my question:
I've asked this before, but I haven't got any answer from developer.
Well, Is it posible to add in the new version of Soldat some feature for server owners. If they wanted keep on their server default mod or any other mod, they would configure that in server.ini. So, players join server only when they have default (not-moded) version or some mod that admin set it to the configuration of server. (They can download that mod from server if they don't have it)

I think this will be very usable function for administrators of leagues or tournaments where you need fairplay and same conditions for everybody, and some "sub game mod" admins will agree with me.
For example if you have on your server Trenchwar mod and you wanna keep the spirit of it, you would set some WW2 Modification to the config and everyone will play on this server with that certain mod.
Of course this function would be disabled in default settings and its up to you if you want it on your server or not.

I totally support this. In a tournament for instance, what stops someone modding, say, all the guns to be giant and white. Now, when your sitting in a bush camping, he can see you. And pow all of a sudden he has an unfair advantage.

Forcing the default interface is not going to happen so move along. Main reason being it throws off a players balance, making them play in a setting they are not comfortable with is just stupid and degrades from the point.

You're right, but you have to look at it from different side.A long time ago I decided to make some trenchwar server. Everything looked fine - I had nice scripts, nice WW2 maps and everything what trenchwar mod needs. BUT, it was a terrible problem for me, becouse I knew there will be some guys who will play on my server with modded soldat. You know, white textures, large guns, lasers, mecha-gosteks .... it doesn't seems like Trenchwar mod.
I know that making them play in a settings they are not comfortable with is stupid, but Like I said this feature would be set on/off by an admin.(default=off). Practically there would be just several servers where you can find this(private servers, trenchwar servers,...).

btw: for dummies like Exodus & Sauron: when you're not agree with something post there why. Your responses looks like pure post-hunting and quite nerdy.

For example: Player downloaded your mod and joined to your server. Some weapon doesn`t look good for him, so he goes change it.After it, he can`t join to your server because size of bmp is different = lack of freedom = player goes play to another server without this mod control.Your idea has more negatives than superlatives, only one player agreed with you.

I got a ques about DLing the new versions...

If you DL the 1.5.0 when it comes out will you have to trash all of your mods aswell as the old soldat or is there a way to do it without deleting the mods?It confuses me...

Copy the mods from this version(or others) into the next version's directory? :p

I agree with SoNNy, it's really unfair I mean people win because they either modded it so the whole
backround was black or took out the pillers in ash cough*wS* cough so they'd so through. So yeah that'd be a good idea so it'd be fair to EVERYONE. if u dont like it, go suck a nut.

Ehm, you're must kidding me. This "mod feature" is same as Maps ... yes I said Maps. If you're an admin you can lose players by this way, but if you put there an original nice mod it brings you a lot of new players. It means server with bad maps, scripts, configuration is always empty. So this is a nice way how to make your server cooler. And remember: You'd always set it off, if you don't like it so everything would be same like the old server.
