What would make the ultimate mod?

Yup... thats what I want to know.

What weapons would you like to see that you never see made in Soldat?
What game have you never seen modded into Soldat?
etc.

I personally would like to see more military/realistic mods, and please... someone make GLOCKS for their mods... their so sexy.  :D
That, and I wish someone would take all of Dairys' weapons, make weapon gfx for them, and throw it in a config program so we can use them.

Maybe this will spark up some decent modding conversation. :P

Guess what, I'm not gonna say mechs.

I'm a sci-fi junkie; I love futuristic-yet-believeable weapons, suits of power armor, and general badassery. Lasers? Meh. Mass drivers and pulse rifles? Now yer talkin'.

I've got a power armor gostek mod sitting around somewhere, and if I remember right, it's pretty decent. Wish I had a chance to implement it.

Also...Glocks. Bleh.

Another thing. Should there be a Mass Effect mod? Just thinkin' out loud, but it could work...maybe...I just love that game.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

It ever depends on what you like... i like futuristing mods but i'm moving to modern weapon modding...
I really wanted a LCRW IAR for 9 slot, now i have it. But, i don't think about a perfect mod, i just value the gameplay, if its funny or entretaining i play it if not, rubbish.

What i would like to have is team weapons, then we would have new mods, and better gameplay.

If you want to know  how to make a good mod, look arround there, there are a lot of mods with good graphics, but when i tested Warzone, i saw that the sounds where fantasting and never done. The perfect mod will exist when someone likes the style, the sounds and overall; the gameplay

 I never seen a mod about Soldiers Front, it could be great :P

The ultimate mod must:

A) Be multiplayer compatible (doesn't depend on the weapons.ini)

B) Must not compromise on the quality of any aspect (for instance having great weapons but poor/no sound effects

C) Must have consistency (nothing out of place like a gun pointing the wrong direction, no overlapping weapons, keeping the same style)

D) Attention to detail (the weapon-gfx should look like the gun it's supposed to be and not a generalization of it)

One near-ultimate mod I can think of is Warzone 1.0 which you surely must have played

I like the idea of having creative and special, fiction and non-fiction weapons mixed together, but the theme must be closer to the modern world.

For example, creating a Shotgun (so it reloads like a shotgun) with a Scope that can fire a super powerful bullet, just like a sniper rifle. Yes, this weapon does not exist, but this gun suits the theme of a modern world at war nicely. (I already tried modding this weapon myself, though very simply. I call it the RX-32 Jet Rifle.)

Other than that, something like what Mangled said would be good.

I would love to see a, let's call it VIP mod, with the most expensive and rare modern weapons, like Holland&Holland rifle (with some golden finishes or gravure), Sphinx pistols, and so.
Of course a perfect mod should change default weapons on within the same 'category' like smg on another smg, and on those that have same magazine size and reloading procedure (especially in SPAS cases) and so.

Must be  perfectly working whit ingame script effects like in hexer mod or MMod (migth be a high tdemand but its the "perfect").
And it gotta have all the weapons i like.
Lapis: You need a vacation or a bullet though the head both works just fine by me.

Airsoft mod. 1 shot kills. Not even hard to mod, just make all weps shoot knifes and edit knife to look like a 6mm bb. And also larger magazines, lower velocity, longer reload etc.
And no recoil!! : D m79, law and nade can be a bit problematic..

I like modern weapons that are brand new, or a few years into the future kind of thing. Stuff like XM8, XM-25, SCAR-(L/H), LWRC IAR, xm500, m109, G36.

Hardwar was both ugly and annoying. Why would you want a reincarnation of HARDWAR if there are tons of better alternatives in the modern-weapons mod scene?

I've always considered HARDWAR to be more of a comedy mod... not serious because it isn't a devoted mod. Just resized images and stolen sounds.

A Turok mod.

Thats right. With one side of the gosteks being raptors and another being humans. An alternative being the dino's being enemy oldier you encounter in turok. The dino's are basically zombies as well.

A 2142 mod with one set of weapons to choose (Or use the very sleek and sexy "Special Operations" style or choosing weapons.
But make it with the 2142 maps that are the best. Maps like "Fall of Berlin" and the Calabere Landing (I don't think I spelt that correct). With the maps down pat, make some pretty trippy weapons and the script in Airstrikes, EMP Bombs and the like. That would be wicked.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a zombie mod, or indeed a zombie map pack that has maps such as a large city, with plenty of camping spots, but plenty of ways the zombies can get up (Use an infection script).

A vietnam mod, with HUGE maps, with lot's and lot's of trees and jungle to hide behind and be concealed within. And with clear objective-type terrain such as a bridge or Airfield. I reckon that would work.

Well... I'm currently working on my own personal mod, hopefully I'll finish it soon (when my drawing skills get better).
I had thought about a vietnam mod before (But I never actually started it... Bootz started one, but never finished).

That would be brilliant. Defending the walls with a sword, a bow or pike. It would be great if 'MM' Could create a 'sister' game to soldat based around that.

Actually, I myself would have wanted to make a simple medieval BOW and siege weapons mod (knife is the same, chainsaw will be modified). However, the problem was with the bow. I can't make a Rambo Bow on the primary or secondary weapons, because the weapon appearance would go haywire.
