Ip banned...by accident

Okay, there was a post in the Testing thread, and it had the URL http://www.bugmenot.com/view/forums.soldat.pl in it, i went there and tried one just to see cause i was curios, and i logged in with an account from there, then it IP banned me for using his account, because he was banned and it thought i was him, so i had my friend come on here from his comp, post this thread on here to get me unbanned...

The part I don't understand is... if people are banned, how are you here?  You haven't come right out and said "soandso's account/IP is banned, can you unban it" so all you've done so far is confuse the hell out of me.

Do I need to unban something/someone, or is everything ok?

Wolf man's ip is banned. Unban his IP. He used a different account to get his ass banned now he uses his friend's IP to speak to us.

Right, but the things that are confusing me are:
1) the forum system doesn't auto-ban IPs if you log on from a banned account
2) he thanked me already, as if I did something.  I didn't do anything
3) He hasn't outright asked me to do anything
4) In the event that he is somehow IP-banned, he hasn't told me what IP I should be checking/unbanning.

He's probably still logged into the banned account still and needs to clear his cookies to log out.

Siriusly you had to do something else than that. I highly doubt that soldatfourums bannings whould be that easy to bypass..
