Perfect Mouse for Soldat
« on: April 07, 2008, 07:17:31 pm »
Alright i was wondering what mouse do people use(ball mouse,Optical,Wireless, etc) and what sensitivity do they set. Also if you use different sensitivity for different weapons then state that too. Then state what mouse would you recommend best for Soldat and the reasons why.

sensitivity should be at least 500% get a logitech 8342XT V. 4.1 with all weight taken out. I couldn't play without it.

It doesnt matter what mouse, as long as you feel like you have maximum control over it.  Not too light and not too heavy.  Also have a good mousepad with just a bit of friction, just a bit "grippy" because you need a fair bit of accuracy in soldat.  But still just use whatever you feel comfortable with.  Changing mouse will often affect your gameplay for a while so I recomend keeping with one mouse for as long as possible.

Player since late 2007

I prefer a trackball.

But then, I suck, so disregard my advise.

I use a crappy, optical mouse. It has a cord and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I absolutely hate wireless mice for gaming of all kinds. There I'll be, about to pull off a perfect shot, but no, the mouse flies off the table.

As for my mouse, it's a Compaq optical wired USB I bought back in 2005. (it can kinda be seen here) It's been going strong ever since. The click wheel is really sensitive, which is probably the only thing I don't like about it, but that doesn't matter for Soldat since I use default controls.

I had a mouse like this: http://www.parisiconsulting.com/computer/mouse_l.jpg

I ruined EVERYTHING by buying this: http://reviews.zdnet.co.uk/i/z/rv/2004/11/logitech-mx-1000-i1.gif

stick to the old ones.. with no charging! and no fuxing fancy grip! You don't need the extra buttons on your mouse!

I don't know why I bought an expensive keaboard either, but that's off topic..

Btw: one good thing, it lloks cool: http://www.xfire.com/video/cae/

I'm no gamer, but I really like using the Logitech Bluetooth Travel mouse when I play Soldat.  It is smaller than most mice, but larger than most travel mice.  It fits in my hand really well and I can play Soldat or other games very comfortably with it.

(my two cents)

Had it for a few years now. Very happy with it, and the thumb buttons are great as a push-to-talk button for voice chat programs. Also they are handy for navigating back and forward in web browsers.

My Logitech gaming mouse has never failed me for any game.

--Forgot to mention, it's an mx510. My only gripe is hitting the thumb buttons by accident sometimes.
