Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse

this is the absolute choice for the pro-gamer.

Yeah, I had this one too, once upon a time. I pwned awsomely at Halo PC with it. At $15 to $20 (depending on where you buy it), it's a very good deal for a good trusty simple mouse.

I use the Logitech TrackMan® Wheel mouse.

It has a modest learning curve if you're used to a typical puck-style mouse (about 2 weeks and you're gtg).  However, I have yet to see Logitech provide a left-handed version.

This mouse lets you flick with the greatest of ease, is very easy to clean and the price is low enough to risk trying one out.  Also *highly* reccomended for anyone suffering from mild to severe carpal tunnel syndrome - my symptoms diminished greatly after I started using it.

The downsides?  Well, I've found that tracking SE takes a little more practice than the other directions on account of how the human thumb works.  I've also found is that the molded grip is a little *too* close to my hand - sweat buildup is a problem for me, YMMV.  I figure that's nothing a dremel, a laptop CPU fan and some free time won't fix, but I have yet to build up the courage to mod it.

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake.  Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

Here's what I'm using, Trust GM-4200:

Doesn't cost much, has extra buttons, 1600 dpi, rubber coating and inscription saying "Predator" - all I need :)

Had it for a few years now. Very happy with it, and the thumb buttons are great as a push-to-talk button for voice chat programs. Also they are handy for navigating back and forward in web browsers.

Sure thing! got it.

- spacewing, i made "putte" buy it too :P

Hooray for Logitech MX 518. I got one too, for about 1 year now, and I gotta say I love it :D Not too expensive either, 50€ is what I paid for mine.

I also use the Mx518, I'm happy with it :P

I made the "window-changing button" a "open-soldat button" instead :P

I have been using it for a while, and i have to say it's really fun to play using the 3 different DPI-settings :P

I play 50@400, 30@800 and 10@1600. Soldat should have built-in sensitivitychanger in-game, I don't know how that'd work though :O

I'm sorry, but how come no one else besides me thinks the MX 518 looks ridiculous?

I have been using the same mouse for my entire soldat career: The original razor diamondback, I've had it for at least 2.5 years, and it's never failed me yet.

I also play on %20 sensitivity.

I had a mouse like this: http://www.parisiconsulting.com/computer/mouse_l.jpg

I ruined EVERYTHING by buying this: http://reviews.zdnet.co.uk/i/z/rv/2004/11/logitech-mx-1000-i1.gif

stick to the old ones.. with no charging! and no fuxing fancy grip! You don't need the extra buttons on your mouse!

I don't know why I bought an expensive keaboard either, but that's off topic..

Btw: one good thing, it lloks cool: http://www.xfire.com/video/cae/

That 1st one is my mouse too.
lol everyone seems to have it, must be the best then.

I use a sensitivity of 80 (aug-tard)

mhmmm, same mouse here (except in black).

I tryed the razor deathadder, which was about 5 times the price, however even that wasn't as good as my  cheapo MS mouse

And I love it.

What a minute, is that a Razer mouse?

I use a razer mouse too, except with a red light. It belongs to my bro though.

Microsoft discontinued the sidewinder series with the actual sidewinders on them.

Just a note; those aren't AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.

This is an AIM-9.

Indeed. Razer Diamondback. 1600dpi

But for Soldat, any quality mouse, 1000dpi+ is good enough imo.
