Work in progress Maptease thread

Alright, in the mapping help & resources forum we already got the map scrapyard for crappy maps and the drawing board for imaginary maps stickified.
This subforum is mostly used to preview your upcoming maps. However, there's sometimes not really enough work done yet or you just don't want to spoil the map too much with its own preview thread.

For those of you, who'd like to just post a nice lil' screenie without spamming up the board with new threads, you shall from now on post it here and can also make a comment or two on other mappers' projects.
I'd of course be happy if this got stickified like those other threads :q

Rules:
-no complete map previews
-not too much text, we want pics!
-no sketches, only real polygons :q

I'll do the start with my upcoming new CS map, ctf_de_inferno:

Sexy visuals Blue-Ninja, just one thing: The underwater part of the island looks kinda odd. It should be way darker.

Blue-ninja, ctf_Oasis looks great, but it might look a little better with a few clouds in the sky, and like avarax said, darken the underwater part.

Are you going to left it there? Here is my next map, ctf_cs_containers. Please give me some ideas! Right side is ready, but i have no idea what will be the left side. Small house, maybe? The map will not be much larger than seen in this overview.

Edit; This is old pic. I have moved those containers to the left, so that there is enough room for a small house i made to the right side of them. In the small house are stairs to the underground. Im going to make passage under the containers to the left from the house. Sorry if my bad english distrupts..

EDIT; OK, map is playable now, but before releasing it I test play it and try to find all bouncy polys and going to fix them as I found them. So ideas are not needed anymore. :]

Well, since you guys are all posting mostly CS style maps, I thought I'd be different by making some map related to distant islands.

Im working on my first TW map, tw_tali-ihantala. Map is mostly just forest and field, and some trenches. This screenshot is taken from middle of a field. Later I will upload more pics.

THIS will be my first map!!!Â I'm so excited

Name: inf_Kokoda

It's gunna be a tranchwar-based infiltration map, with various obsticles that Alpha team (Australians) will have to go through before destroying the Japanese invaders (Bravo).Â For more info on the Kokoda trail in WWII give wikipedia a visit.

I spent most of the weekend learning about PolyWorks.Â sofar I have only alpha base done.Â I am yet to add the rest of the scenery, but I currently have 2 custom made scenery, the Australian flag and the southern cross in the sky!Â For centuries the southern cross has helped the Seadogs and explorers navigate the ocean. It helped Captain J. Cook find his way along the eastern coast and is one of the most important icons to Australia. Today it serves as a Morale boost for our brave troops, defending us all from the Japanese in this unforgiving terrain. The map will feature pleanty of tree-based sniping positions for bravo. But plenty of places to hide for Alpha. I am really excited about it, and cant wait to finish it.Â I hope you all like the idea
