I can describe it without being obscure, however, it would not accurately describe the heart of the matter.

I would describe Obscurantism as a form of Mystical Philosophy which, aside from the essentials of mysticism, diverges from the rest in terms of the defining feature of the universe as One, that which is not (not always) a God.

Obscurantism is a completely pointless title dude. It's akin to a japslag acting like "heh......i'm mysterious......just like sasuke/(insert MYSTERY DUDE HERE)....."
It's not even a valid philosophy at all to be honest! I mean seriously, "knowledge is only for those who can handle it" in an extreme sense, it's just basically being an elitist. There is no mythical philosophy behind it!

Take for example, you have a king(in this case like what is described in plato's republic, i.e the "noble lie"). If you lie to society, society (modern society) will not accept you when you've been found out. It's a childish example, but the point is here. Vagueness in the higher ranks CANNOT WORK, and in religion it's a really crappy motion in my opinion!

EDIT: what I mean by invalid is that it cannot really be implanted in today's world, like the death penalty.

The way this guy means it is in a philosophical sense, not the sense of I'M VAGUE HEHEHEHEHE, but it's still not a really good thing to label yourself as.
They basically believe,depending on circumstances, it's akin to masonry, you can be agnostic/atheist/christian etc but still be an obscurantist, the belief just varies depending on the 'God' or the figure of worship, that the universe is one/god is within us or something horribly pretentious, and cannot explain it since "knowledge is not for.........dummies".

Knowledge is for everyone, I've never stated it is not for those who cannot handle it. You dig too deep into something that isn't there. I never said mythical, I said mystical.

Once again wrong, this is not an accurate description. I've said before, I can be as precise as things allow me, and you may extrapolate on nothing.

Its the philosophy sprouted from the mysticism which pertains to a certain universal fundamental. Its not mysticism (which is no philosophy), but a mystic philosophy.
