I like it, the texture is great, the scenery is good because of the grass part.

But it look fun to play.

4624 polygons :o!

Looks pretty massive. You'd need a decent number of people to play a game. I mean, the map looks nice and all, but the large polygon count sort of ruins the purpose of online play...

Edit:

Maybe my computer does suck a little... ::)
Time to download and find out. Oh right...reupload :P

"Holy shit" was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it.

Yeah, the texture and those sceneries and rocks all look fucking sexy, and it looks like it will probably be fun, but as the others have said, it might be a bit too huge. 4624 polygons probably won't lag a relatively modern computer, but it definitely will lag an old one, you should take that into consideration when making maps.

I see what you did there.

The map's theme is basically of the underground portion of Cortex Command. Look close and you'll see what I mean.

That's not a problem, by any means; the map is a perfect recreation of the feel and look. Shitload of polys, and like jrgp said, it might be laggy to play, but it's definitely a masterpiece.

I must say I'm quite impressed.  This map is truly nice and quite the work of an artist of Soldat mapping.  However, several things degrade the overall quality of it.

Polygons, for a map of about this size and polygon structure, the polygon count is absolutely ridiculous.  Maps like this can be made with around 3-700 polygons.  If you're going to make other maps in the future, seriously keep that in mind.  Only use as many polygons as necessary to create platforms and borders and maybe some for polygonal/shading effects.  Also, the black polygons behind the rock scenery should be set to 100% transparent.  Sometimes polygons have an edge and can stand out from the scenery.  Make it transparent to prevent this.  Shading, layout, shading, and eve thing else looks and feels great.  The only real problem is the polygon count.

The only real problem is the polygon count.
Polycount aint madder if there aint high qualited sceneries, like FX_p_cloud1 or veg_trees.
It is sure a fuckd up thing if it effects to your FPS anyways.

Hella awesome looking map, but I can't say anything about the gameplay until I actually play it...the huge number of polygons probably wouldn't affect my computer, but it could make it very laggy for others. If you have any time, try to reduce the polygon count a bit more.

Haha, soooooo nostalgic of Cortex Command. :D You should match the background sky to the game too! Haha.

I wonder how much of the poly count would be reduced by removing that little tumor in the bottom-left.
