a good idea about barrett

maybe we can make barrett's fire interval realistic, but the start up keeps the same(so it won't be too fast), and give it a huge self-recoil that takes 3 seconds to dissappear???

that way, you can shoot it and it will feel more like the real thing(semi-auto), but it's just going to be really inaccurate when you shoot it too fast.

It's an interesting idea. Unfortunally though, the recoil attribute can be countered in less than a second, despite its value. And the selfbink attribute can't be set to nerf the accuracy that much. If I were to ask the devs to implement this tweak, they'd have to be really convinced that it would be awsome and needed. Can you prove that?

True enough that the Barrett M82A1 is capable of semi-auto fire, though it's more of a balancing issue than anything else. Tweaking not necessary. F11.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Totaly agree.
But the barret seems nice anyway.
Lapis: You need a vacation or a bullet though the head both works just fine by me.

A pretty good idea, perhaps make that a realistic option?
No one really uses barret in realistic
Just a thing - if an experienced barret user then got used to that attribute, they may be able to spam the barret at the enemy base - may get annoying

As far as I know, in Soldat 0.94c, the Barrett had about 90 fireinterval and 180 reload time, with 5 ammo, and it was 100% accurate.

I'd imagine your idea as a Barrett with 90 fireinterval, 180-270 reload time, recoil, 5-10 ammo, reduced movement acc to about 5 or less, and two binks:

Bink: Getting shot = 100 bink.
Self-bink: You shoot, and you immediately get over 9000 bink (instead of other guns, where self-bink affects only from the fourth shot), so you have to wait around 3 seconds (180 ticks) to become accurate again, or shoot as fast as 90 fireinterval but become terribly inaccurate.

This is an interesting idea, but I don't think it's gonna work very well. I hope that there would be a better way to encourage more users use the Barrett in realistic, knowing how much other weapons such as the overpowered "Phased Plasma Rifle in the Forty-watt range" FN Minimi in realistic is being used instead.

I agree. It sounds a bit dicky, but he is on warning level III.

I think the Barrett is perfect, I've played hundreds of games and I think the weapons are pretty down pat, but the Steyr needs work (I think this as STM pointed it out, and I played  few games and I realised that the Steyr is pretty insane, but is a tad non-soldat).

There's a bug with exploding entities that if you fire too many of them at once they all detonate in a chain after a little bit of time...
