Stick Soldiers

Try that. I recommend Stick Soldiers 2 over Stick Soldiers 1. It's not bad, but it lacks a few game aspects I would've liked to have seen, Like Online play. It's only 900 KB to download too.

Tried it years ago. I think they scraped Stick Soldiers 3. And they have awkward controls.

Like Cortex Command- nice idea, and I'll play it if only it didn't have controls from the 1990's.

Before ANYONE comes to say that SS is a Soldat clone, let me say that Soldat is a SS clone instead.

I played a top down 3d shooter with rolling balls....balls had guns on them (snipers, minigun, shotgun, etc) and grenades. Had a good multiplayer with quite a few servers. Very similar to soldat. Just cant find it, dont know what its called.

It's actualy very good IMO. But as I said before, it's like Cortex Command- nice game, but damn bollocksy controls. It's like the developer(s) were so focused on making a great game that they forgot that we moved out of the DOS era, and now people USE COMPUTER MICE!!

There is actually a game in development that is probably the closest clone to Soldat in existance. Sadly I've forgotten the name. Basically it is like SS, but with wasd+mouse controls and rocketboots. In the game there are also 'one-way' platforms. A nice little bonus, however the maps seem almost tilebased as the maps are totally linear and there is not one curve. It feels like taking Egikii, Soldat and SS and churning them all into one game. I'll try my best to remember the name of it. I saw info about it on gamedev.net and gameplay footage on Youtube.
