WHY IS MY PING SO HIGH!!!

ok listen to this!!! my connection is very good its ussally 45-60ping but when i make a game my friends cant join because it has 9999ping i dont know wut to do i ve tried almost everything! if anyone can tell me what wrong that would be very appreciated.


ps. how do u make mods work in the game i cant figure it out???

This isn't because of your connection speed; you need to make sure you're allowing traffic on the game port (23073 by default) and that you've forwarded your ports if you're using a router.

Ive had same problem, I just shut off the Anti Virus when I went to play, And when I didn't play I turned It on.

You all fail, Toumaz is right.
Your ports are blocked or they aren't fowarded if you use a router.
That might be your router's fault, or if you don't have one, you have to ask your ISP to unlock them.
