Um, I dunno. I generally try to find servers where people are around the same skill level. I don't want to 'pwn' because it's boring and not really challenging, nor do I want to lose miserably.

Anyways, to answer the question, "I wouldn't care".

Well it rarely happens to me because I'm normally the average player in publics.

But if it does happen, it can get really annoying. It's like... hey, just bloody learn to play better than I do. And
I spent so much time just to look for a server with ping lower than 300 to me and with enough people.

People never tried to kick me.  Though I am not in a clan or anything, and I am limited to pubs, I generally find myself up there with the higher-scoring players.  Most of these people (if any) are all clan people, That's thrill enough for me   I don't take soldat seriousley so I don't bother really with clans.  I have had experiences where I've owned everyone in the server and won several matches in a row, that has got to be one of the best thrills soldat can deliver.  It's nothing special though, just a game.

I got kicked for not saying who i was once. Kinda weird. I don't wanna give out my id.

But i don't care if I'm getting kicked for being better than the rest of em. Kinda good actually. If I'm blocked from that one, I go to a new one. And possibly whit better players.

Allthough it is annoying to get kicked from your fav servers.

LOL.  Beat your chest a little louder next time Frunkamunch.  I almost couldn't hear you from the Active Topics list. 

Once or twice I've had the "Hey Pragma's using an aimbot" shout after racking up a decent K/D ratio* on the m79.  Once I had some idiot try and kick me for about the same.  Of course I *did* try and kick them first for filling the console with racial epithets, but that's another story.

I find it all hilarious since, according to XFire, I've only logged about 120 hours of Soldat in my life - and I only set up that profile after playing for about a month.  So either I'm freakishly good (not bloody likely), or some players are just really, really good at catching grenades while having equally bad anger managment skills.  Sorry to take the wind out of your sails Frunkamunch, but my money's on the latter.  I've had a taste of that rush and it's not all that - sometimes its just better to have a solid GG where the teams are evenly matched and there's room for good drama.

Anyway, Frunkamunch has taken my sorry ass to the pwn shop on more than one occasion.  So I can nod in agreement to what this thread is about.  Call me the last sportsman alive if you must, but standing witness to total ownage it only encourages me to play more, and not less.

Publics really, really don't count. It's not the clan tag which makes you good, but if those few letters are on the list of the 100 or so quakenet clans, it signifies something. Even if there's a [PL] at the end of your name.

i dont play enough to do clans (i usually play lan in schoolbreaks its not possible to do internet there) but im way better than average pub player and get kicked all the time
but hey thats life just go and own on another server

i play mostely in public but i get that pwning feeling often. although it feels good i need better people to vs so i started playing gathers last night (i didnt acculy play by the time i figured out mirc and all that stuff it was already late)

i almost got voted to leave becuse "he has to many points" but i quit after that round to make it fair
