British Lee-Enfield 1903 Rifle
« on: April 29, 2008, 05:53:37 am »
I was playing some ww2 mods recently and i noticed that nobody had even tried to re-create the rifle that has served my country in both world wars!

I thought that this travesty should be corrected!

Wow, looks awesome!
I really like the barrel
Are you going to continue making weapons of the WW2?

Please could you make a CETME mod. L
Offtopic: i was reading somethings and i found that CETME is like the father of the g3 and familly. But was created by a german in Spain, before than most of the WW2 german rifles

Looks great by the way.

The textures kinda looks re-sized :(   but maybe it's just your style I dunno.  looks great though.  could you make in-game GFX that would be cool.

Eh? They didnt use silencers during WW1 or WW2. So that whould make it totaly un-realistic.

Shut up. If you want post-apocalyptic go play Fallout. You could even say that we are in 2008 so we can't use weapons from 1914.

No the shading is fine.  It could be a lot more clear that's all.  Try not having as many different colours all over the place, it makes a small weapon look kinda messy.  Oh and the trigger is a little small, it also has room for improvement.

Ill take that into consideration next time.

For you historians there 'were' silencers used in World War 2 but very few were used mainstream. They were used by the British SAS on specialist missions.

The only silenced rifle that springs to mind was the 'De Lisle' Silenced rifle that fired colt rounds. There was also a silencer developed for the German 'Parabellum' (Luger).
Both were rarley used because they decreased the effectiveness of their weapons.

I do know that no silencer was developed for the enfield in either world wars.

No, World War 1 there was no such thing as a silencer! Hehe not unless you play that awful ps2 game called 'World War Zero'!

Actually the Lee Enfield was also used in WWII where silencers were used (all be it rarely) but no silencers were ever made to fit the Lee Enfield.

Yes i know there were silencers during WW2. But not in use. And dont think they used these rifle's for specialist missions. I dont know but somehow it just dosn't fit.
And this mod was for WW1 and 2. So no silencers.
