Did you try uninstalling-removing soldat folder totally-restart pc-reinstalling Soldat ?
Try messing with your font settings for Soldat. You can find them in your Soldat folder, under .\Txt\fonts.ini

You can find them in your Soldat folder, under .\Txt\fonts.iniAnd that's where the problem was. I was able to compare the fonts.ini file to the fonts-help text file that was also in there and was able match them up and correct the wrong number. Works good now, thanks for the tip SpiltCoffee.
open font.ini in X:\Soldat\Txt, and try replace this:[FONTS]Font1=BankGothic Lt BTFont2=Lucida ConsoleFontMenuSize=12FontConsoleSize=9FontBigSize=28FontWeaponMenuSize=8FontConsoleSmallSize=7FontHeightScale=125FontMenuBold=1FontConsoleBold=0FontBigBold=1FontWeaponMenuBold=0FontConsoleSmallBold=0KillConsoleNameSpace=8
I have that problem after playing Soldat for +3 hours. I have reinstalled Soldat (more times than that other person that did 5 times), changed my font, tried a patch install (installed 1.4.2 first then installed patch to 1.5.0), some of the other things mentioned in this forum. AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK! Before I get that message, my keys suddenly don't work and sometimes my screen goes partially white. It is NOT an ATI card problem cause I'm using a NVIDIA 8600GT 1GB graphics card. Does anyone know how to stop these initial problems?
Last year, I dreamt I was pissing at a restroom, but I missed the urinal and my penis exploded.
My guess would be either outdated video drivers or an overheating video card \ CPU (as for the screen going partially white).
anyone know whats causing this AV?
Access violation at address 0051B7B4 in module 'Soldat.exe'. Read of address 00004B70.I get that same access violation error when I try to start soldat.Any ideas?
I've played soldat since 1.2 and I've never ever had this before, but today I finally got there "access violation" error messages... in menu...If it really is related to some font.ini values the question is... how bad can the code be if it fails in font loading
I get the same message randomly, when I get kills, I get killed, I press "t" to talk, I press / to make a command, and when I get medals above "Masta Killer!" Yes, I did change all the fonts and played with it and nothing happened! It happens in only certain servers and is really annoying. I have keep pressing Esc! This severely impacts game-play for me, so if someone could help me...
From my experience, and how you're describing it (ChronoSniper777) - a line is too long to be displayed. May depend on your killer/victim's name length.

hi.apparently, whenever people try to play ctf_Dropdown on our freshly updated 164 gather servers, they randomly receive loads of access violation popups like in the screenshot. So far, Ive only heard of this issue on this particular map - but from a number of people.I haven't had time to test or mess around with this yet, so I cant give any more helpful info at this point. Still, any ideas? Is this just our servers or a general problem?
