Team Balance

I thought that a good  idea would be if while the teams were even that the option to change team was disabled, like if the teams were even IE 6v6 game the change team option was disabled and if the teams were 4v6 the option to change team was available, i just thought this could stop people changing teams just to be on the winning team.

Please dont leave bad replies like "this is a stupid idea, noob" its just a thought i had.

I agree completely, since more games are ruined by uneven teams then get played fairly, anything that promotes fair play I'm for.

I'm always changing to a team that has less players , it's a better chalenge

isn't there already some server script that CAN do that?  i remember playing in this server and i left for a sec and when i rejoined i wanted to join my old team but that made the game uneven and after 3 seconds i got auto-team-switched by the server.

There is a script for this, but as far as i know it only works whilst a admin is present (Xtra servers use it)

Leo's Full real has auto balance. Every few minutes if teams are uneven players get changed to other team. But I agree as I was playing inf as blue and about 80% of my team went red after the score reached 60 red to 20 blue. Definitely sore nooby losers

Maybe there should be a button to make noobs suck more on the enemy team and less on your team. Heheh. Realistically, though, this is a great idea.

Yeah but players dont wanna get switched to another team while they are playing do they? what if they are about to score then the teams get auto-balanced. I hate the auto-balance on xtra servers.

Flag carriers would have to have immunity, of course. In another thread most people seemed to agree that forcing the last player joined to the lesser team would be a great addition. This would also stop those from switching teams and making things unbalanced themselves.

Even if this is passed on in the next update, the game really, really needs to fix that team switch freezing bug. As much as I want to switch sometimes, if the server is near full the last thing I want to do is switch teams, have the server freeze and kick me, and then end up not being able to rejoin since the server is full.
