Shells - Small Suggestion.

I was laying down the fire with my mp5 when I realized that the shells were all travelling in a perfect arc, in a straight line. I think it would be neat if the shells' angle was set at random.

If this is done, the shells should fly randomly based on how random the bullet's direction is.
That'd be cool and this feature couldn't possibly to any harm, so I say yes.

So long as it's not insanely random. Currently, shells do come out randomly, once selfbink has occured. I say, the shells should react more to selfbink, so the shells will initially come out perfectly, than randomize as the soldat continues firing.

The MP5 has perfectly trailing bullets for most starting fire of a barrage. That's what makes it unique from other autos, so MP5 users may not like this. I myself really don't care.

Only if it's a slight differences, say maybe a max of 10% variation in arc.

firstly, it's not the shells that fly... it's the bullets themselves.  secondly what you probably want is more random strength of the bullets (or speed).  while standing the hk mp5 is the most innaccurate weapon already.

secondly i don't like this.  if bullets travel at a somewhat random angle then a player can really not be skillfull because then it'll depend too much on luck.

You mean bullet casings? Ya that will be good, as long as they don't fly about in crazy random directions. Just a bit if difference, thats all.

This'd be mad. I'd also like it if the shells stayed on the screen for like.. 10 - 20 seconds, rolling down hills and such. But that'd possibly cause lag...

No it wouldn't cause lag.  If this were to be implemented then it would be the clients' computers that render the shells rather than having the server tell each player's computer the info about each shell.  It's not something that will make a difference in the game except to look nice...

this is a good idea, and there wouldnt be any lag dude, other wise there'd be lag without this mod... theres still shells flying out isnt there....

I like this suggestion. Especially that of your shells staying on the ground longer. Perferably I'd like the shells to stay on the ground for a very long time, 5 minutes or more. Being I think it looks more realistic.
