Soldat Forums Pixel Art Competition - Showcases


Contest One - Draw a Barret

Calling all barrett freak pixel artists! Now's your chance to show two of your true passions at once! This first contest involves the competitor to draw a large 1-bit Barrett M82A1 showcase. The firearm must be no longer than 950 pixels, and must not fall short of 650 pixels. However, if a tie between two weapons occurs, the longer barrett wins by default. No program except MSpaint or any other basic graphic editor may be yused in the creation of your firearm.

Competition ends five days after three other competitors join (I'm participating). Good luck, and remember that the image may only use two colors, not including a transparent background if you like.

Edit: The new minimum size is 450 pixels.

950 through 650 regardless of resolution, right? I enlarge pixel art by 200%; meh, I'll probably lose.

^Enlarging will mean that its actual size is half. Don't give up either, large pixel art is fun, and turns out pretty nice.

The minimum size rule is incredibly stupid, just letting you know. Also may I suggest a new rule, you are not allowed to use something you have made before. (WINK WINK Mistercharles)

By the way I am in, but my entry won't be 650 pixels wide and if I can't enter because of that you may as well piss off.

^I was actually hoping you would join. And what's wrong with the minimum size rule? The point is to make it really big. I will change it to 450 pixels though.

Edit: About not making stuff made before, I made that barret scope thing right before I posted. That's all I had finished when I first posted this. Also, this is my first shot at shaded pixel art, so I probably won't win.
