There is no way TF2 will be left empty no matter how good BF:H turns out to be.

Judging and talking crap about a game that you haven't even played just shows how much of a fanboy you are. "PS3 SUX XBOX RULEZ!!" ring a bell?

Dont be afraid of some similarities between games. I'm sure alot of people will end up liking both of them.

Because we all know TF2 totally invented cartoon styled games...

Ya, its strange how people automaticly say "its like TF2!". Really, TF2 is an FPS version of Evil Genius. ;)

Well I'm still giving it a try//

But seriousley I don't expect too much from it unless the action lives up to what the trailer shows.

Stop comparing it to TF2. They are completly different games. What's next, comparing new FIFA to GTA4? :/

It seems to be quite fun, although completly different from all other BF games

Honestly, I'm more intrigued with the server features than the graphics style: It matches you with people around your play level so it's never too easy and never too hard. Or that's the concept.

I'm definitely going to check it out when it comes out; I mean, heck. It's free!

Quite frankly, a free game is not going to be as good as a not free game, so yeah stop comparing. As far as free games go, it looks pretty good, but free shooters are notorious for sucking. (Soldier Front) In fact, this reminds me a lot like the SF scenario. SF is very similar to CS, but sucks a million times worse. Like I said it looks ok, but I probably don't play it, Soldat looks way more fun.

I don't know; unlike independently published free games, this one will be backed with money (limited ads). Plus, the amount of time they are taking on it really seems to speak volumes to me.

http://www.videogamer.com/news/25-04-2008-8133.html

"We developed our art style in January 2007. At that point there were very little images out there from Team Fortress. As more details about Team Fortress came out we said 'well there's a similarity here because we're both cartoony, shall we change and go realistic again?'. But no we decided we wanted to keep going. The alternative would have been another gritty, realistic WW2 game and everyone's fed up with those. We really believe in our style and we're just going to go ahead and do it."

Just googled your ass there, Mangled.

You actually believe that? They couldn't possibly be covering their ass in that respect right? They would have said that regardless of if they had or had not ripped off TF2. Fact.

I see big differences between the two styles of the games but I know that DICE couldn't have come up with that idea on their own. To suddenly jump from gritty realistic style to cel shaded "cartoony" style with no development of their 'style' prior to Team Fortress 2's initial previews and information releases is just very unlike such a company. Especially one that gets whÖred by EA every year or so.

TF2 will be remained one of the greatest game, because it has a very unique game play of each characters. And I think BFH is going to be just as same as TF2, only different craps.....

They sure hide that beta signup pretty well, I don't remember seeing a link to it anywhere. I only saw a mention of it being located at QA Boss on planetbattlefield.

Hello Heroes!

As you may have noticed, you killed our website. We are not angry. We’re very pleased you want to be in the Beta.

The beta for Heroes will be divided into several stages, the first of which is all about testing out this new way of getting games to you all; by downloading and installing them from a website. We’ll also be trying out some other dull stuff to do with servers, so we are expecting the systems to be down as much as they are up.

To help us track down all the technical issues, we have asked a third party to find us some specialist Beta testers
. We are doing all this because we want to be sure that when we launch Heroes, everything will work smoothly.

So hang in there! We will announce here when it’s time to sign up for the public stage of the Beta.

Signing up for the beta just to play the game before anyone else without any previous experience is just waste of time. Wait for the public beta for christ sake!
