Suggestions for dealing with chainsaw crate campers?

Since I can't play U13 anymore due to ping kicks, I've been having fun on the Snipe and Slice server. It's funny how great the chainsaw is on a server where you don't have to worry about being shot at all the time. The only problem is the chainsaw is a bit too effective thanks to crate camping.

Part of the scenery in Soldat can absorb attacks. Usually these are crates on the map, which have an impenetrable border. The problem is that this makes it near impossible to kill someone in a box, since the only way to get your hits to register is by stepping into the crates' hit box and basically running into the waiting chainsaw. With no grenades, there is no way to flush out the person, and the person can pick off people with Barret and comfortably retreat to the box with chainsaw when enemies close in.

Am I overlooking some vunerability of crate camping? I never really noticed this before, and I don't know if this is just a gameplay side effect due to server's weapon limitations or what.

They're called colliders.. Go learn to map, so you know what they are.
You people make me sick. Now you're complaining that the saw is overpowered.
Also, there is a way to beat them with your barrett, but you need to be able to aim, and they have to be crouching or standing in the collider. (if theyre proning, youre screwed) Just snipe the top of the box and watch their head fly off.


BTW: Whenever i goto that server, they all grab 2 barretts...

How about you read before throwing out the insults? I'm hardly complaining or saying the saw is overpowered. Just saying that, for me, a chainsaw user in a crate is beyond difficult to kill, and requesting advice. I can aim with a Barret just fine, thank you. So you're saying that you can pierce the top of a crate with "colliders" and kill a crouching target? I'll have to try that out.

Nades would ruin the server. Crate camping is pretty lame, but in the long run people who do it are completely ineffective. All they do is kill the occasional person that runs past them. It's pointless to even bother worrying about it.

Well, people just don't sit there. You can still switch to Barret and pick people off in the area. Just when an enemy approaches and you've missed your shot, you can retreat to a crate and switch weapons for safety until the enemy either plunges himself into the waiting chainsaw or gets bored and leaves.

It's not that easy if they're running someone elses map.

The colliders are basically red dots you place over sceneries like boxes to make nades and bullets "collide" with a scenery they would normally go through.  Meant to give it a realistic, strategic feel.  The colliders on that map may be too large, meaning the nades blow up the instant they tough the collider instead of the person sitting inside it.

another way to kill a guy inside a crate is to dive into the box in prone position with chainsaw on

Just shooting the box they are in works most of the time,  cuz ppl inside those boxes cant shoot out from inside them. So u just shoot em long range and i bet it kills em, cuz it works for me.

this problem is often encountered on inf warehouse as well (and I often use the same solution as nading boxes is too close and i hurt myself. Zero's suggestion is a good way to pwn the SOB who thinks hes so good. Also as said before by noumerous others (excuse my illiterate spelling of the word, all terrorists learn is how to detonate themselves in public) he can't shoot out of the box. Well solution #2 is to camp box. As soon as he thinks hes good enough to come out and pop a shot or two feed him a double helping of lead from afar. I never use boxes as defensive camping but i hide in them near a flag so when flag gets returned I dont have far to go...

if someones inside a collider just get in there with them if they are sniping and you are behind them keep a distance because chances are they arent watching their back, theyre scopin out for players so calmy walk into the collider and pull out the weapon you need a little bit more kills on for the stats, maybe fist em for the small laugh i dunno have fun when you see a clueless sniper

The problem is, bud, the server disabled grenades, so your first suggestion is useless

Don't play a server with only two weapons enabled?

This is stupid to suggest, it is only for a server where everyone has to use a barret and a chainsaw and without nades. servers should have more weapons to keep it balanced so a collider camper will just get destroyed by an m79 or a law
