Soldat forums' effect on your life
« on: May 19, 2008, 02:06:23 pm »
Whenever I take a bollocks, and it splashes because the poop hits the water, I think of you soldat forums.
And I mean ALWAYS.

The one to blame for this is soldat forums' favourite Israeli, OK. (not active anymore, I think)
Mainly I think of OK, but my mind often leads me to random stuff about the forums itself.

OK: Thank you for ruining my special time.

I'm just relieved you never posted your pic here, so that I don't have to picture your face when I'm on number two.
I can't imagine how horrible it would be to always picture some israeli dude's face (or any nationality for that matter) whenever I needed a bollocks.

EDIT: Link to this amazing argument: http://archive.forums.soldat.pl/topic.php?topic_id=28844
...

so,
How has soldat forums changed your life?

I get epiphanies on the toilet.

I don't really think about soldatforums outside of the forums themselves.

I like soldatforums, but i have my life out there, so soldatforums is just a hobby for me, a place to do different things.
So i really enjoy looking at soldatforums every day and laugh about somethings.

I don't think that it changed my life

Because of this site and the other Soldat sites, I've learned a LOT about linux and other computer related stuff. I've met online friends and had a great time. When real life friends weren't there, my friends on here were. When my real life friends are there for me, I've still got these other friends on here. Makes a Win + Win situation.

Whenvever I see some kids riding a bycicle or a skateboard with a helmet on, it just reminds me of soldat. Never impacted that much in my life, it's just usually for fun when I get on Soldat Forum.

Back in the 60's this place was the bollocks. But now it just feels crappy. Dunno what happened, guess most of the overrated "great minds" left and got replaced by dull, boring new guys. And the forum politics started taking shape into Hitler's liking after Flab got into the serious business. Combined with crap like the karma system and the replacement of the bash pit with the fisting zone, I almost left the forums a few times. But hey who really gives a bollocks

Long live Nazi-Communism!

I'd say it indirectly affected me. FliesLikeABrick was the first one (and still the main one) to introduce me to programming and give me the necessary resources to do so. Now I'm studying computing science and plan on living off it :)

mmm.. Sort of.  Soldat sure has affected my life, And I've learnt heaps from the forus.  Many people I meet on soldat have changed my way of thinking..  Starting mainly with Aussoldat forums.  These forums don't seem to contribute as much, but still really have helped.  Overall, I have to say everything about soldat has changed my life in so many good ways. ;D

Well, being a Forumer, I can safely say that this is my main and latest forums, at least for now, since I've either quit other forums due to lack of interest or become inactive for the same reason. As of now, SF is my only forum.

Being on forums affect me quite a lot, since I normally use the computer and serve the net very often. I want to take part in active topics that attracts my interest, and of course providing there are some good people to discuss with. In fact, if not for forums, I might not have been the same person I am now, because through forums, I have learnt and gained new knowledge, corrected myself when I realize mistakes I make and begin to know my potential a bit better. Besides, what/who/where do I turn to, if I can't really do as much in real life for any reason?

Yep, that's why you see me hang around these forums pretty often, and the reason why I always lurk in the Weapons Discussion.

The forums and the soldat community followed me through my pubes.

It's been a wild ride, and the effects are too much to list.

Good times.

When it comes to my life being affected by soldatforums, it is not anymore. Years ago it was, but now its mostly just the odd topic from the lounge that I might keep an interest in.
