Battlefield 1942 Anthology

Well, I bought it for 10 bucks, and it comes with BF 1942, Secret weapons of WWII, BF Vietnam, Thr Road to Rome.  I'm installing it.  What do you guys think of it, do you have any tips?  I know its an old game but I am a WWII fanatic.

Well not quite yet, theres 456 servers left, and I have enough server with low ping to keep me playing awhile, but yea, it will eventually decease.

Really? I'll take a look at it.  I only installed 1942 and the 2 expansions.

There is nothing more satisfying that flying around in a Huey with 60's rock blaring out of the speaker system whilst mowing people down with a machine gun.

I found it wonderfully coincidental that I was listening to "War what is it good for" whilst running over charlie.

There are some great mods for 1942 that really spice up the game. Can't remember them, but some googling would probably reveal them.

I got the original one, I like it. I would always just grab a jeep and see how many people I could run over without dying. Being an engineer and putting the bombs in the jeep made it all the more fun. Its a very solid game.

I have the anthology, but I can't play any Battlefield game at all - up to BF2142. I have a weird lag issue with all BF games that causes me to jump back and/or my cursor continually jolts to the left. I think it's a master server thing, but I dunno much about network stuff.

Otherwise the games can be rediculous fun. There are quite a number of stunt and "funny moment/bloopers" videos online. As long as you don't have the same strange lag issue I have, $10 for the anthology is an extremely good investment. The pack comes with modding tools as well - if ya wanna make bf1942 mods that is.
