Fractured CTF - 6/1/08

I won't make a habit of this since I don't want to clutter the forum up, but I just wanted to give a shout to everyone that was logged in late on the 1st to Fractured CTF.  Not that anyone logged in with the notion of giving anyone but themselves a fun time online, but honestly, I feel like I got more than I bargained for, and that's a good thing.

For once, I had a good few hours online in a public server, where the players were light-hearted and fun to talk to.  There was no shortage of skills to go around either.

As a bonus: nobody had to be booted the entire time I was logged in.  No hackers.  No racist wackjobs.  No refugees from halo spouting frat-boy, gay-bashing nonsense.   No relentless taunting.  I'd almost go as far as to say that most players logged in during that time actually played with some semblance of sportsmanship.

Things were staring to wind down at around 11:15 when (I think) we broke the server.  The game counter ran down to zero and then let everyone play for about three seconds before everyone got booted.  Cross-eyed, tired, and suffering from carpal-tunnel, I called it a night.

Hmm. Too bad I missed that. I fired up Soldat, after it went down. Fracs CTF is also my favorite server and I usually have a good experience on it as well. Anyway, thanks for sharing that.

I think that I was probally there. I also try to keep the peace in fracs servers as racist comments = mute, excessive shit talk = mute and hacking = ban.

Im really glad to hear you had a great time there. Fracs pub is my favorite server in soldat and has been for a long time.

Btw, this is Grishnak / Q. The one that seems to never miss you with a rett shot (aka "Golden Eye" rett).

Your efforts to keep the peace are duly noted.  You seem to command a lot of respect around there and it shows.

I tried looking it up.  All I got was this, with no reference to 'baz': http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html  still, it certainly keeps pace with what slang we have here in North America, that's for sure.

Part of the reason that people respect me, is because I am one of the actual fair admins.  For some reason, Fracs admins are known as Nazi's, all though I cant figure out why. Apparenty, enforcing the rules makes you a Nazi. It could be, that Fracs admins dont take any shit, and will enforce the rules regardless.

I am there quite often, probally the most active Fracs admin, and people know how I do things, so they know not the fuck around, attempting to break the rules. I am fair though, I always give a warning before I take any action. I think alot of people respect that, and enjoy the peacefull server when I am around, so the enjoyment level is high for everyone.


BTW, feel free to add me to msn, and if you have any problems with anything in Fracs, (any of the pub servers) feel free to contact me so I can fix it. It should be in my profile.

Also I am on mIRC 90% of the time, and usually in sna.gather chan if I am not logged into msn.
