Making a server.

Hello all players :)

Actually i want make a clan with a friends. And I want to stand a server. And there problem stars. When I create normally server called "..." I click on Start Game.. I on second soldat see it on ping 9999, friend see it as ping 9999 , same dedicated server .. I got off all programs, please help..

I really don't know what to tell you, but you can buy a cheap server from www.u13.net if you live in the u.s, its alot better than making your own server.

Shouldn't this be in server help, and you're probably going to have to buy one for low ping.

If you wanna run your own server at your home, you need good internet connection and External IP address.

But to get a proper good ping, i.e 32 ish, you need to use a hoster  :|

look at the stickies in the server help section.  Are you using a LAN?  do what BRADEN said and make sure your ports are forward

feck off. I ran a home based soldat server for nearly a month on dial up and no one noticed the difference.

Not to knock U13 too badly, but is that a good idea?  Last I checked U13 CTF wasn't even back up yet.

Thanks for the reminder - I'll second that.  Fracs CTF is my favorite, well, okay - it's the only pub CTF normal mode server that I can reach that's under 100ms.  But it happens to never be down, and the admins let it run Soldat until it breaks.
