I humbly request a polygon type where players in realistic mode don't get hurt from fall damage against it.

This is good for likely landing spots as well as to replace polygons that often induce poly bug. Occasionally, a parachute that should spawn with the player won't, and since the spawn will usually not be a tactically significant place, such a polygon would prevent those people from getting hurt by the bug.

I don't like the idea. If the fall is high a 'cushion' wouldn't stop your fall.  :P

If a cushion was 20 metres tall, I think it would.. I would like to see some more poly types implemented to Soldat.

Soldat is not, and will never be, a solely realistic game. While Soldat has its roots in real-world weaponry and basic physical law, it is otherwise unrealistic.

This is an excellent idea, I think. It could lead to more extensive and vertically scaling realistic maps.

Ooh, that is actually a good idea... But I'm gonna have to again dump it in the good idea but with all the bugs and whining about balance for the makers to address, not worth it. F12 anyway.

I think hes talking about maps like Tw_Rage or Tw_Limbo, they have parachute spawns which don't always give you a parachute, making your health drop severly, I will f12 this because if the maker of the map doesn't wish to include such polies, then they don't have to.

Just deal with it, It won't be added just to fix the falling on those maps. Soldat is not just TW, TW is just a tiny small tiny part of soldat, why would an entire new poly be added for such a small player base?

I'm against cushion polys.

1. Keep injuring/dying from falling? That's your fault, learn to land safely or not jump from so high.

2. Parachute? That's the map's problem.

3. TW? It's not the only game mode. Besides, I'm sure there's a hospital nearby.

F11. Time could be used for other purposes.

I stated that he may be talking about the map tw_rage, because it has a parachute bug, and I was using it as an example.
