Starting a clan (Buying a server)

Okay all. as u prolly know... im starting a clan.  umm i need a few ppl   Anywon wana join.. Pm me or just  reply to this topic ^_^

Another thing is i was wondering what site to buy the server off of.. i've been looking @ SelfKill. and u13

Hi, if you are wanting to recruit members for your clan, you should give some basic information about it first (e.g. the name?)

If that's the way you're starting a clan, it will fail miserably, as you're completely missing the point.

This way you'll just have a bunch of random people from random locations, whereas in a clan there are people who you know and like playing with, hence there's something to keep the bunch together.

You could also check out fractured for NA server hosting, or #soldatcentral on quakenet irc for server hosting.

The first question to ask about the server is "where do you want it?"

You mention selkfkill and u13, but u13 is in the midwest USA whereas selfkill is in Europe.  Other hosts include EnEsCe

- How to contact (Email, ICQ, MSN, IRC)
- Homepage (if you have one)
- Clan age (Clan exists since... ?)
- Favourite gamemodes
- Equipement (own Soldat server, Teamspeak channel...?)
- Requirements in skill and character
- Where/How/When are possibilities for a tryout?
- If you only need players who use a certain weapon, don't forget to mention it.
- Clan results (Clanwars played, tournaments won, etc.)
- Aims of the clan (just a funclan, or to take part in a tournament/league)
