Zero ping and always dc.
« on: June 06, 2008, 09:09:57 am »
Hello!

I don't actually have this problem but my friend across the road does, the servers don't seem to ping and obviously, i thought he hadn't forwarded his ports correctly; so i went over there and i'm pretty sure i set his router up correctly. However, the problem still prevailed even after re-installing. So i did some quick searches: http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=14662.0 this person has the exact same problem, yet no one answered so does anyone know how to fix it?

-When requesting servers he can see them but they don't ping. (they all have 9999)
-He can join them and play for a few seconds before disconnecting and he has "0" ping.
-He is like the other topic, on a wifi modem.

So im guessing its a wifi thing? Anyone know anything about this?

Whenever it happens to me, I just rejoin the server, and it works
Thanks for standing still, wanker!

Has he tried plugging his computer straight into the modem (if it has ethernet ports)?
