hay does anyone have an idear were i can get some programs to like, change sounds and change what the weapon fires? (the bullet image)

any help appreciated

MS Paint, paint.net, photoshop...
Use the normal grahpics programs and for sounds, Audicity

Paint is still very good for basic stuff, like quickly doing an outline.

GIMP > Paint.net. Let's not give him the wrong idea, though, MS-Paint is just as good for Soldat modding and it's my personal recommendation. ImageManip progs can be relatively awkward to use for Soldat-sized graphics because they weren't designed with pixelwork expressly in mind.

GraphicsGale was, though. Not a high end program, but it's free, relatively simple to learn how to use, and designed primarily for pixelart.

Oh yes, I heard very good things about GraphicsGale. I still have yet to try it out though.

i use flash for modding... i think its great :P it has a great line tool and stuff.. i just make it normal sized first export it and scale it down in paint :P

If you can get good results with resizing, go for it. Typically it screws up the coloring and you have to redo that almost completely, but why bother drawing from scratch when you can get the general shape and a good color palette resizing?

Re sizing is okay

usually I change all the colours a bit if the image turns out all snowy or noisy.  But it's good and you dont have to worry too much about the shape ;]

[Desert eagles in avvy were made by me from scratch in case anyone cares :D]
