Lol, Many Believe that the world is going to End in December 21, 2012, as the Mayans Predicted.
I think They might be right, the way things are looking on this planet atm, I wouldn't be Surprised.

And the world will end I guess when the Creator comes back.  And Us humans will end it, with our wars, Pollution and countless other horrible things. 

I don't know what else to say really, Everyone has their own opinion, this is just mine.

The world probably won't end anytime soon. Humanity on the other hand, is pretty fragile. A drastic chance in climate would be enough to wipe us out.

What does global warming have to do whit anything? This is about the worlds end not earths destruction.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me like the earth's destruction might be very closely related to its end.

My vote is for a chilly end. Suns and stars burn out, eventually the universe will become one entirely dark, frozen wasteland.

We survived the last ice age with very primal technology just fine. Saying that the next one will kill us all is incredibly stupid.

Personally I think it will be some decades before climate begins to wipe us out.

The Large Hadron Collider would be an awesome doomsday machine, it certainly has that ring to its name... In fact anything with "Large" and "Collider" either side of it sounds deadly. Large Cat Collider for instance but "Hadron" has that special niche to it

I think the real threat at the moment is dwindling natural resources, namely crude oil. Has nobody seen Mad Max?! Either the world has to start mass development on alternative energies or we're all going to war over precious oil.

2012 is bullsh*t because despite it being the end of the Mayan calendar it's not applicable since 2012 on the Mayan calendar was thousands of years ago. The calendar we use today is the Gregorian calendar.

After all deep thoughts and high aims become ridiculed and a whole generation locks itself up in their rooms, seeking entertainment in a drug-induced dreamworld, the world will become so boring that the Earth will stop moving. The stars will fall down, the Moon will go and find a more fun planet to follow, and the sun will engulf us all in fire by yawning.

The world will not end in quite a millenium... Earth has already kept the species alive and letted us evolve for several millenium, and this will keep go on.If the planet smaller than ours as mercury or venus start a big bang, which will be more than another millenium, I am then guessing that Earth will blow up soon after those two planets.

This all depends on what you mean by "world ending". Does the world end when one of us dies or all humans die or just the earth is destroyed?

Well, we all know the ways humans can die, but all of us at once would probably be caused by wars or other non-natural human created situations. I don't think a huge ice age or global flooding would kill us all.

And as for the earth getting destroyed, I've seen a bunch of theories on the Discovery channel, a few of them being the moon eventually crashing into the earth or the sun exploding. Both of those probably will happen, but not for a few billion years. And as for some huge asteroid or whatever coming randomly out of the bowels of space coming towards the earth, I'm sure our space agencies will send a nuke or equivalent at it in time.

In all honesty, I don't really care how the world will end because hopefully it won't be in my life time.
