It's be pretty weird seeing a server with all of the automatics using prone/zoom capabilities. Would really kill the main use of them.

I don't know why u'd want a scope on an mp5 in the first place..

Yeeaaaah, seems pretty un-necessary. Are the MP5's bullets even fast enough to go that far?

No, that's why it would be a useless Update, and also Soldat is good enough how it is, with just the barret having a scope :|

I hate to sound like a broken record but... mod it yourself.
I hope they add more options like this, buy come one, you know it's been suggested a million times.

Try at least get some idea of what he's talking about. He's not suggesting the official balance give the mp5 a scope. That was an example. He and every modder here want the ability to give weapon scopes, change them from auto to semiauto and vice versa, make you have to crouch/prone to fire and the like. Sure, the mp5 doesn't need a scope. Say someone modded it to have a range where it'd be useful? And don't say it wouldn't be worth the time. Current weapons already have the abilities, and it'd be an easy process to extend that option to all of them.

Yes. Would be really sweet to make a rifle that reloads like a shotgun or make the USSOCOM Weapon an Automatic Pistol [MP].

In My Opinion:

          I don't think Soldat is an organized game. It's engine seems a bit messy... And in order to change one thing you might have to tweak something else. In my opinion the Soldat Engine should be improved and updated immediately before making any futher changes that might make it harder to organize in the future. But that's only my opinion. I could be wrong... If I am then WHY NOT? Adds lots of creativity to Soldat and people would want to fool around with the engine. Just think... Lot of great mods could be born from this thing. Once the "Weapon Mod Engine" gets organized, updates and new settings could be added on over time. I'm just saying... Why not have fun with Soldat instead of the same old modding method used now. Soldat has lost originality due to lack of updates to the actually engine. One thing I really liked about the 1.4 change was the new Recoil WM Setting. Why not make more?

theres already a weapon edit thing...thats what i'm getting at... i just want more options to play with on my own i don't want any new guns or whatever the hell you're talking about

The barrett isn't auto, for one. That's another thing that needs fixed, being able to change whether a weapon is auto or not.

No, it's always SEMI-auto. You can just make the time between shots shorter. Actually, you can set the interval to 0 and you can have a constant spew of bullets without reload, but that gets boring fast.

Also, you STILL haven't gotten the point of this thread. He was giving the MP5 firing like a Barrett thing as an example. He wants many other options to be available for people who want to make weapon mods.

This thread isn't about how to make the MP5 fire like a Barrett. It's about being able to have many more modding features, as they are rather limited at the moment.

Btw, barret can never be an auto, unless you do something and fuck up something. But ben actually has a point, it would actually be nice if they can do that.
