I think that the m79 is a noob gun. for noobs
noobs means newbie. If you go in nonnoob servers you dont have m79noobs.
Maybe there is 1 m79 but he's pro then.
You CAN own the m79. so try to beat it and don't make the 10000000th topic about it.

I have a proposition for anyone who calls M79 a noob weapon in this thread. Play a duel with me, with simple rules: you will have to use M79 *only* (the noob overpowered weapon as you call it) and I will be able to choose any other weapon and a map (from standard DM maps). If m79 is as noobish as some idiots here say, I should be simply destroyed in the duel, with a result 20 to 10 frags or something like that. And you will prove your point! Anyone?

If your team starts using mostly M79s, either the other team is camping a lot or your team just sucks. If it's the former, rush in and get the flag. If it's the latter, then yell at them until they use something better.
If the other team starts using mostly M79s, grab an AK or M249 and frag their asses. Be sure not to rush through the tunnels.

Yes, M79 is annoying and easier to learn, because explosives are always fun until you step on a grenade or some dumbass uses it like a shotgun. But it does have other uses, like boosting.
It's pretty satisfying to nail someone in midair with the M79, too.

Barret. Anyone who started around 1.1.5 / 1.2 started with barret.

It's Barrett martta. Anyways, I get ticked off at the people who WHINE about the M79, it really isn't that hard to dodge it if a newbie to Soldat is using it. If you think you're better than the "n00b", then you should be able to kill them instead of kill you. Please get some reasonable sense into your post/whine.

and if there are more than 1 m79er on a team-which is what i am talking about-it isnt that easy to dodge them all unless u think ur so AMAZING .

m79 is nooby becos in a large game it is easy to kill.
1v1 m79 users get pwned so ur duel is a pointless and stupid idea =D.

I used the Barret M82A1 when I first started out. Such an awesome weapon.

The M79 is a pretty fun gun to play around with once you get used to it's curve. Having a player limit on it would suck.

I Hate n00b M79'ers, cuz they just run until the get close enough to use the M79 as a bomb, or LAW, they try to launch it directly to you, just backflip and unload all your rounds while they reload, just DODGE N' BURN, (for teh n00bs, backflip quickly and fire), when the n00b try to use it like a gun, firing upwards so it would hit you where it hurts, just backflip away, the backflip is the better way to fight back the M79, but, when used by a skilled guy, just stay still and he might miss 1 shot at every 100
BTW: My First kill was with Socom, i ran out of ammo with Mp5 and killed the guy with the socom

Barret....... I don't know, I just love snipin'. Well in about 3 days, I got used to how barrett works, and in 2 or 3 months, I totally turned into a sniping fagit.

Haha, same here. I kinda forgot how to hold down the mouse button for using barrett (it influences me in a way despite startup time), semi-autos and tapping with AK XD

M79 is a pretty extreme weapon, both underpowered and overpowered at the same time. Depends on the players and map, really.

M79 is unbalanced and may get heavily rebalanced in 1.5, if the devs are willing. Unless they don't, it'll just get slapped with direct and indirect nerfs.
