Which is your favorite Zelda game?

There is a bunch of them with different adventures, and replay value.  Which is your favorite?

I have a couple of them.

First, Legend of Zeld: Ocarina of Time, of course. Its the first to have the 3d effects, and did a pretty job of it.

Second, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.  Its a good game, especially for the Wii.

And lets not forget all the nice portable ones, like Minish Cap where it introduces out Link got his cap. They also say that this game should have been the first in the chronological order. Although it confuses many people, and they are still debated on it. Although theres Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords where it introduces 4 links and doing teamwork to get past obstacles. And how about Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons? I don't think anyone has mention those two game before. Also the most recent portable game, the Phantom Hourglass, with its distinct cel-shade makes it look pretty cool.

OoT was the best, close second by Twilight princess. TP would have been better if it had the kind of great music design of OoT, and "oot" is a much better acronym than one that also stands for toilet paper.

I didn't own Zelda games back then, and still haven't any, but Ocarina of Time in short memory, was the best.

On-Topic: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is by far the one I most enjoyed.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, of course. It was epic back then and still is now.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was pretty flipping awesome too. Less epic, but more sinnister.

I honestly don't have the patience for the 2D Zelda games... They're all very samey and really lack too much depth to make me feel immersed.

I don't like the cel-shaded ones because again, I the graphic style is a step backwards in terms of depth.

I haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess yet, but I'm sure if I did I would say it came either third or first depending on how good it was. It certainly looks amazing and is probably the only game worth buying a Wii for.

Zelda Link's Awakening was my first, so it has a special place among favorites. I'd say my favorite is link to the past, that was sweet. I always enjoyed oracle of ages a lot. I never have really finished the console ones, they are too huge and I don't like puzzles very much.

Haven't played many of the new ones. Ocarina of Time was absolutely awesome though, back in the day. I would play it for hours, trying new things and it never got old. I played Majora's Mask too, but I didn't like it as much.

Oh yea! I remember Zelda Link's Awakening, for the Gameboy Color.  Although I never beat it, I'm not even sure where I was either lol.

Now lets talk about the chronological order. Heres some info, its been hotly debated for months, and maybe years.

The original way its was introduced was by its releases:

Some people think that The Minish Cap should be first, because it introduces more to link, others think Link to the Past should be first because it has the word "Past" in it.  Although I think that absurd, because you can't really judge by title, you have to judge by gameplay.  What do you guys think?

Definitely Twilight Princess, it was one of the best adventure games I've ever played.  Too bad that my 50 hour save file got deleted before I was able to finish.  It's a long game and I don't feel like restarting.

As for DS dude, I don't think it was meant to be chronological. Since were on the subject anyway,  IMO Twilight Princess should be after 4 swords because in Wind Waker, your not even actually the original Link, your some random kid in the future.

I never liked 4 swords because whenever I played, because of the way it is set up, it was more competing than playing together, which I thought was stupid. And it lacked any discearnable storyline. This thread reminds me of how awesome tales of symphonia is by comparison to many of the Zelda titles, and makes me want to go beat FF7, which I will probably play tommorrow. TY

I have the Gamecube Zelda collector's edition which is like 3 of the original games, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and a 20 minute demo of the Windwaker. All Zelda games are incredible.

I loved Zelda 3: Link to the Past. I still have to play Links Awakening. That cart slipped through my fingers so many times over the ages. I'm itching to play Oracle of Ages presently.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is my fav I had to like go to over 10 stores to finally get a last copy because my preorder got screwed.

Grew up on the original NES games.  Played the gameboy version and SNES versions to death, and occasionally get the itch to play them again every now and again.
