I liked karma... except that some people (*cough*jrgp*cough*) had insanely low karma for no real reason.

That's the problem, few people with positive karma.

I think that would happen the same, some poeple will give negative karma to everyone, and so

Haven't experienced karma, but I guess karma, if implemented, should be more of a reputation system. I guess everyone only wanted to give others bad karma because they want others to get smited haha.

I liked the karma system, I felt that it did help quite a bit. Yes there were some exceptions that had oddly low karma, but that is only a handful of people out of thousands of members (hundreds of active members)

Well, if memory serves my karma was already extremely low prior to my having that sig.

I wouldn't mind having the karma system back, just for curiosity's sake.

No, the system is completely anonymous.

You need to have made at least 25 posts before you can applaud/smite other people in order to affect their Karma. When you meet the requirement, click the [applaud] or the [smite] link under a user's Karma count. Applauding another user adds one point to their Karma, and smiting subtracts one point.
